I must point out that the "bottom knockers" hammer would not have weighed "15kgs" perhaps 15lbs. No boy could have lifted 15 kg that's nearly 37lbs!!!
Thank you, you're right we think they mean 15lbs not kilos. As it's an old film we're not able to correct it.
