Good evening . Here in the Phillipines, I love you. Video that cear the health and safety of the workers Welders. I am a welder. Working here in the Philippines, in Zamboanga City , one of the plants that makes a can Sardines. It's seems it's been a habit or carles, of the safety of welders and others workers. Coz we do not use safety respirator here. And, even using grinding equipment, fi there is a Safety checkups happens , the company is taking workers to be use the equipments coz there is a inspections , but after,, that when the safety inspector got away. They get back to no safety use and luck of safety equipment. And our salary is only for a 316 peso. Hope your help here to improve our safety. Us Welder. And outer workers.. I love my work and family,
I went to welding school and got my SMAW structural certification and not once was told to use a respirator or that we even needed one. They said blowing your nose with black stuff coming out was just part of the job lol. I just ordered a 3M respirator and will always use it now
My nose was always black and my school the best ventilation.
@@Mikey-ym6ok how much % really the mask protect?.
@@automotivetech7590 did u get answer
@@automotivetech7590 from what I know the black stuff can also come from metal shaving when grinding. When I started using n75's in the shop my nose blew clean. For noxious fumes IIRC the filter specs will tell you that
@@automotivetech7590 a lot more than no protection.
This guys breathing got me scared
Forreal got me reconsidering my 1st day of welding school in the morning fuhhhhhh lol
@@skyline9789 did you end up going through it?
@@Christianmendez-ig8xg funny you ask i was just thinking about this video a year later. I had to drop out a week after i made this comment because of no ventilation at all at my school i was spitting black/blowing black chunks at the end of every day for couple months. I also messed up my eyes pretty good because poorly fitted helmet i didnt know better and instructor couldnt care less . I still love the idea of welding and am good enough to spot weld and small jobs now but nothing is worth my eyes or lungs.
@@skyline9789 i can't blame you, i thought about getting into it. But with the fact that you're breathing in fumes all day is just not worth it
Good workshop ,profesional employer🇮🇩
Damn.. in the company i work in 2013 they gave you a cotton facemask.
same here where i work, fuck!
@Rocsfo cotton isn’t an N95 mask.
2013?! That's what they did in the 30s for mine and smelter workers. (My great-grandpa worked for Phelps Dodge Mining Company)
I never weld without a respirator now :)
gurjinder singh wearing a respirator for 12 hours a day? Fuck no. Papr system, fumes extraction system. If they don’t provide it ain’t working
then ur not a fucking welder :D
Thank you for this impressive video, I really enjoyed it.
