never thought you'd already have 2 devlogs out those things usually take AGES glad you actually took some of my criticism to heart! however, i did notice that you seem to come up with a list of mechanics and hope that they would mesh well, seeing what was there from your scrapped section and while i am only going off some snippets of what you had, what i would personally do is try to have the mechanics conflict eachother in some way im going to use the new tjoc office demo as an example so you have the core of the game, flashing freddy, and the other mechanics conflict with your goal you need to turn left and right to see freddy, HOWEVER turning too left or too right might have your camera killed by bonnie you need to use the cameras for freddy, HOWEVER using them too much will make them lose their charge, and then you'll need to waste time trying to find a fuse BUT ALSO you need to use the cameras enough so foxy won't kill you and that kind of game design constantly puts the player in a choice and them trying to find a balance the balance between using the cameras enough to find freddy and deal with foxy and not too much so they don't lose charge the balance between turning enough to see freddy, but not enough to run into bonnie and during the downtime between the enemies attacking you should probably search for a fuse or replace one of them some other levels in the original tjoc also have some conflict in the bedroom you need to stare at the lamp to keep your sanity but also deal with the others that distract you from staring at the lamp in the living room you have to desync freddy and foxy but also not use the tv too much so chica doesn't kill you and check up on bonnie in the attic you need to flash golden freddy but also deal with the creation, which uses up a flash and may lead you to miss golden freddy if you don't manage it properly, and deal with 2 endos what i would recommend you do is to come up with either something to do to win the night (like flash freddy) or with some resource like sanity, power, or some music box type character like the freddles, which makes the player's time a resource too that the other enemies could waste now i know that including a music box character sounds like a bad idea, seeing how much hate such mechanic gets, but the issue with it in fnaf 2 is that it takes up too much of the player's time, and if it would be nerfed im sure it wouldn't be as hated sorry for the long rant, maybe you already knew some things but thought i'd still tell you about it maybe you could practice using some of the advice i told you by simply prototyping the game, no fancy animations or visuals, that way if you do end up scrapping the section, you wouldn't need to throw out weeks or months of work

im very late but i think maybe a level with shadow freddy and bonnie where you have to manage your light sources to stay alive?

I think option 3 would be the best choice. you shouldn't just waste the section, but I think it would be out of place in the main game

Maybe implement golden freddy somehow? I think it would be cool if he was like an easter egg, kind of like back in the fnaf 1 days, idk just a suggestion

Maybe minigames like in fnaf 2 there would be hidden game cartridges that let you play secret minigames for example, a rhythm game with bonnie or a race with foxy or something like that.

ngl i kinda expected some more creative mechanics, not a copy of the tjoc living room but with extra steps chica's mechanic explanation at 2:24 got me a stroke while reading the text, and honestly i still don't understand what she does and what does "knocks off 60 seconds off the timer" mean and the reverse mechanic could be abused, if there's no penalty for using it too much, which is why i think you should stick to only speeding up animatronics the static on the jumpscares is a little obnoxious, and the animatronics themselves are barely visible i really do believe you can make a good fnaf fangame but at this state, it is not looking too hot
