Thank you!! When we went to Lanai, we took the ferry from Lahaina. But that was before the tragic fire. After a quick search, it may be that the only ferry now leaves from Mā'alaea, Maui. Tickets are about $34-66 one-way depending on what day you go. I believe the shuttle “limousine” service we used was Rabaca, Neal / Rabaca’s Limousine Service (808) 565-6670. Just call them and you’ll be able to arrange pickup. Hope that helps!

We actually hired a private driver who picked us from Ha Long Bay, took us to Ninh Binh, drove us around there, and then took us back to the Hanoi airport. Let us know if you'd like his info. We showed a little bit of our private driver at the end of our Ha Long Bay video and at our Hang Mua video. Feel free to check those out. The other option is to take a day-tour or bus from Hanoi. I think a Grab would be doable too, but perhaps a little bit pricier. If you're staying in Ninh Binh, a lot of the places have scooters that you can rent. Hope that helps! 🙂

That’s a really good question! Our luggage stayed with our driver while we explored marble mountain. We made that arrangement with our hotel for a driver that would do that for us. I believe we paid a slightly higher fee for that but not by much.

We went in December midday and there wasn’t much of a wait. I searched for info in November though and this is what I got: To avoid crowds on the Tràng An boat tour in Vietnam during November, it's best to go on weekdays, ideally in the early mornings. The beginning or middle of November is generally quieter compared to the end of the month, when domestic tourism may increase due to local holidays or events. Try to avoid weekends and public holidays, like Vietnam’s Teacher's Day on November 20, as these dates tend to be busier. Hope that helps! 😊

We visited Vietnam in mid December moving from Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Bình, Da Nang, Hoi An, Da Lat, HCMC, (Vung Tau was a day trip from HCMC), My Tho for a total of 3 weeks. We stayed at each city 2-3 nights except for 1 night in My Tho. We did not get too much rain, only a bit in Hoi An. I think it’s more rainy during summertime. Hope you have a great time. It is beautiful there and the food is amazing.

That’s a good question! I believe they do allow it You’ll get breaks but I’m not sure if your little one will enjoy sitting for long periods of time. It’s very relaxing and scenic and so some kids might like it, while other kids might go crazy if they like just running around. When we did our research, we found that others didn’t recommend toddlers and younger to go on this boat tour. Our kids were about 5 and 9 at the time though and they loved it. Hope that helps.

Hi Sweet Potatoes! Thanks for the question and the compliment on the itinerary! The itinerary definitely worked out for us. We stayed 2 nights in Da Nang and 2 nights in Hoi An. Just to give you some more info…the distance between Da Nang and Hoi An are pretty close so we were able to squeeze in beach time in the morning in Da Nang. We had lunch, and then headed to Marble Mountain which is on the way to Hoi An. We arrived in Hoi An at about 4pm, checked into our hotel, relaxed, and then went to dinner at a Morning Glory right next to where all the boat night time Gondola rides are. Keep an eye out for our upcoming video of Hoi An to see what that experience was like. 😊 and thank you for following us! 🥰

We haven’t been back to Vietnam for over 25 years and Da Nang felt like, “Wow, this is what we imagined Vietnam would be like.” It’s modern, hip, trendy, but with beautiful beaches and historical sites. With a ride there and back, including a lunch buffet meal, tickets were around 900k VND or about $37 USD each person. You can also check their website for information. I checked some places and it looks like people didn’t see any tonight. The bioluminescent waves can be sporadic, sometimes lasting a few days and sometimes weeks or months. Good luck getting a glimpse of this beautiful natural phenomenon.

It was sold out when we went too but our friend lined up early before 5pm. They allowed a lot of people to buy the tickets when we went so I think there’s a fair chance you’ll be okay purchasing there. I think that would be your best bet. Good luck!

Hi! Thanks for commenting! Good questions. We did an overnight Halong Cruise (see our Halong video: ruclips.net/video/rkfYmudgtzM/видео.html), and it was a lot of fun. The cave boat ride from the cruise was MUCH shorter, but the scenes are all breathtaking. It is so nice to be on one of those cruises. You can't go wrong there. The Trang An Boat Tour is also amazing. Between the 2, we probably like Ninh Binh more, but both are still amazing in their own ways. The Trang Boat tour is long, but they give you plenty of breaks. You're probably not on a boat any more than 20 or 30 minutes at a time. During your breaks, you can stretch your legs as long as you want, have time to change diapers, etc. Your boat driver won't rush you. They just wait until you come back to the boat. Our kids had a blast. I hope that helps. As for a Day Tour from Hanoi...with kids, I wouldn't hop on a bus from Hanoi to Halong or Ninh Binh to do a day tour with kids as that's A LOT of traveling (2.5 hrs to Halong, 1.75 hrs to Ninh Binh). To make it relaxing, I'd stay in one of those cities. But that all depends on the amount of time you have. Feel free to ask any more questions. <3
