I'm so confused by this- like did seriously no one realise he was joking and taking the piss out of it? Like it's not even hard to see he's joking, he literally looks so bored when he's making the speech about rock and roll never dying and then gets so bored he decides he will take the piss even more by literally dropping the microphone, how does no one realise this, literally the rest if the group look like they're having a blast when he's doing the speech bcs they can tell he's joking and laugh even more when he takes it to the next level with the mic, it's not even cringey, they're just taking the piss. And the very fact that so called "comedians" on this show can't see that shows they aren't real comedians
I love 8 out of 10 cats but it’s so funny to me that no one seems to see that Alex is taking the piss, he’s mimicking all these ‘rockstars’ and just being a dickhead about it. When you look back you see he’s never been very comfortable in those situations so taking the piss probably makes him feel more comfortable.
imo even if he was taking the piss, the speech was still weird.. it's the one thing i couldn't watch all the way through without muting because of how hard i was cringing even though i was a huge fan of the monkeys

for the snl videos: copy the link for each performance (i put them on a playlist in my channel) and go on ytmp3.cc and paste the link then select "mp4" and convert then download the videos! as for the pharrell interview, unfortunately i can't find it :( all the links i have found are broken because it's an old interview
