I recently met raj rewal and asked him a question about architecture in india He told me there is less than 10 percent chance of emergence of a new age of architecture in india because of current efucation
Thank you so much. Great work. Thank you

You are so welcome!
"How u do anyting is how u do everything".......... Emensly inspiring.....simply Iove it.Thnx.
Aesthetics are as much important as function.
yuppp; no doubts.
Finally, somebody who has the same views as mine! Sadly, minimalism in architecture has become more about emptiness with spaces looking grim and depressing. Happened to discover your channel an hour ago and absolutely love the takes!!! 💖💖
Haha, glad that you like the takes; also do let me know when you disagree too :))
Only Indian channel to discuss philosophy of Architecture 💯💯
Thank you Mohit; means a lot.

please send the link of this movie
hey Saksham, head over to my video named - movies to make you fall in love. In description you would find all the links. Plus one another good movie to watch
Sorry Karan i was not able to understand the video well. But one thing which i understood was that Poets create minimalist line of words which have so much of meanings compressed into few words but all are not capable to decode it well. We still require interpreters. Also what's more amusing is that every interpreter has its own interpretation. The original meaning gets lost. For example there are hundreds of version you can find which have different interpretations of same shlokas in Bhagwat Geeta. Same reason - 2 lines shlokas have too much information.
Hey Anshul, Not everything should be understood. Its fine; sometime you realise late when there's correct time. . Poems were never about giving out original meaning. If they wanted they would have wrote 200 page book maybe. In details; still there were good chances even after that people would've misinterpreted. Geeta is poem. Everyone finds their own meaning in Geeta. It just reflects who you are. It works as mirror. Everyone will find out what's aligned to their thinking. That just explains why there are variations in interpretations. And I disagree that there is a necessity of interpreters. Its good that there are people who guide and interpret. but there is no necessity. When one stays in enough of silence and thinks about something then they will start to become a thinker. . Poems are used as tool to make people thinker. I think first one needs to put their thoughts and after that they should go on for seeing interpretations. Because once its decoded by someone else your mind will not opt to think. I guess this sums up well.
So...this is what it was all about
Yupppp....
Thats why i love Geoffrey Bawa's work, he embraced Culture and traditions really well
aanhan Nice. Its good that you appreciate Geoffrey Bawa's work. But Mies's less is more is one of the most profound thought ever! This movie is mockery of minimalism, unfortunately Mies become the symbol of Minimalism through his 'Less is More' quote. Mies hands down was one of the greatest architect. People misunderstood him and spread the fake minimalism. Which is the problem. Fake minimalism is the problem; not Mies.
Hey Karan thankyou for making a video on this topic. I was very interested to know about Vastu shastra. Can you pin some resources to start?
Hey anshul; thank you for appreciations. I understand that you want to know more about Vastushastra. Which is good. I don’t mind giving out resources but I think there is long way to go for knowing Vastushastra. (Personal opinion) I think one should learn about all climate and site handling aspects, philosophy and purpose of design. It’s about understanding the depth and creating sensibility first. So I guess you should you know aim towards learning more about design and designers. That would be better. We all are on that stage to develop that sensibility. That’s why this video is also not about any tips and all. It’s more about achieving the qualities of an architect. I would like to give you a random quote of Picasso (which might not make sense)” It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child”
Also Anshul, start reading psychology and human behaviours related stuff.
@@arch.memoir Thankyou Karan , i really appreciate your guidance. I am currently reading Form, Space and order which you told me to read earlier and yeah it is opening up a lot of tangents to think.
@@arch.memoir ya for understanding psychology and human behaviour i have started out with some books on communication skills such as How to win and influence people. Will appreciate if you can add some.
@@anshulgupta943 Glad to hear that, I could help you. You have done a good start; I must say; with How to win and influence people. If you want to understand more depth about conversations and influence then your next read should be; 'don't shut up'. About psychology; I would suggest 'stumbling on happiness' 'atomic habits' 'thinking fast and slow'.
Try to come up with a fact or scientific proof. Don't come up with dumb abbreviations stuff. Your research is based on Google search...not on any basic or scientific research
Hey, first of all thanks for connecting. And I want to let you know that I understand your concern, I genuinely do. Usually the type of statements you gave comes up, when some content is misleading. And which I honestly admire your quality to call someone out. And I think this should be done. . I also think that in this video; I’ve just tried to explain what these words mean and not to denigrate any literature without going in depth. This video was more of a philosophy. I didn’t discuss any vastu tips that one should not put their head on north side while sleeping and all, even some people use pseudo science to justify this statement that because of magnetic field and all. Which is not proven in science but people use it and promote it as a science. Which should be called out. . I’ve said explicitly in video that ‘ I’m not saying Whatever written is true, No! That’s not the point. Simple ask is not to denigrate without going in depth’. I genuinely believe if there is proven science one should believe it. One should have skeptic and curious mind. That’s how we have grown as a society. And this video’s intent was not to spread any false science and things lying on that line. Do let me know which part of the video make you think. So I can improve and we as a whole march towards becoming ‘good’. I trust that you now do understand what my intent was. Again I will say in the end that, I have just tried to explain the philosophy and possible thoughts behind the definition. . Thanks for connecting 💫 your view will also strike up many critical thinking in people. And that’s the goal. To make people curious. Thank you.
Mughals copied it from other pre-Mughal forts from the kingdoms of Thar desert in Rajasthan, North Western India after brutally culling them. Why the romanticizing of a genocidal dynasty who wiped out almost all of the indigenous culture and religion?
Hey man; I genuinely do understand your concern and here we are designers; we are just taking notes for ourselves regarding that’s it. There is no romanticising. we are here learners. From your comments people will also think about different perspectives and might learn in more depth. Thanks for giving out your perspective 💫

Rightly said "Storis matter"....Millions can sacrifice their lives after stories but very few can do that for fact & logc.
Exactly! It's all about evoking emotions. We can only take action if we are filled with emotions about it.
Thanks for interesting video and idea. I think the deep symbolism works as artist's desire to act in purposeful way for the world. This may be the catalyst for an artist to have believe of why it should exist in certain way. Interesting to see that everyone wants to work for connectable purpose. And it is interesting that once the association is revealed, it just sticks with the form.
Thank you for the appreciation. Yes it's all about abstractness. It's been said that through designing one understands themselves better. Yes as we all know association is to learn and attach something; what's hard is to unlearn and detach something.
Can you please name some books which can help to develop the correct way of designing?
Hey man, First of all it's such a great question. It made me think what is the correct way of designing; Design is very inter-disciplinary field as we both know. I guess books won't be enough. That's why it's better to do a case study regarding the projects. Actually many case studies. I guess we there is no definitive way of doing design; if there was then we would never have seen great architecture or designs. I will say do more case studies still giving out some book suggestions :) . To develop an Attitude of designer: The Fountainhead - Ayn Rand (fiction about an architect who achieves legacy) . To develop thinking and creativity part: Austin kleo's triology books (steal like an artist & so on) . To have tools for design: Form, Space and Order - Francis Ching (Don't read just look at images and when you find something interesting read) . In the last it also depends on what project you are doing. I was doing school in my thesis so I read books about school architecture; These kind of books bring specific knowledge; which we need most because we are always running late, right :) . I hope this helps you Anshul.
@@arch.memoir Thankyou so much for the elaborative answer. I will surely work on it.
Been watching your videos. Good stuff. Nothing better than architects sharing knowledge, wisdom, point of view, observation in an "easy to understand" way. Thanks.
Thank youu buddy for appreciation :) That's the goal. And to make a good community of like minded people who shares similar values like us.

Hello bro, is there any WhatsApp group. So all subscribe can join.
Hey bro, currently we don’t have any group on any platform. But will consider this idea and will act upon it for sure. Thank you for sharing idea.
Agustin Landa Vértiz, the best teacher I had at college used to say. “You don’t invent Architecture every Monday morning” “The history of Architecture, is a history of Ideas. One should always work, over what has been worked already” “Steal like an artist” He made us study the projects and ideologies of great historical Architecture, in order to “step on the shoulders of giants “
So interesting and thought provoking! Thanks for sharing this instance.
