Awesome recording. Placido Domingo gets slammed most of the time by the older opera fans, but honestly, they’re just wrong. Sherrill Milnes is one of my favourite Baritones, absolutely blew Domingo away with the final A4. The orchestra sounds great, and I would compliment Levine’s conducting if he wasn’t.. you know.. Bravo!

Great music. Milnes a "liitle flat" big voice... Domingo supports from "the back" great metal power... I am working on this and I get more power and ping... I would love to study with Dom. Not Milnes... I am karifrid on youtube, and I sing a lot of HIGH C ARIAS, plus Be my love... Also Wagner arias and song made by me... Domingo is one of my 5 fav. tenors.....Fine conductor also... ( Hamraborgin, and Skólakór Varmárskóla are good, also "Let´s kill Putin with our mind". My song..)

A superb artist, gold-standard at his best. Here he is not at his best - perhaps age, perhaps the laser surgeries he had to correct burst capillaries in his vocal chords caused issues that grew as time passed. No idea. But it is still very clear that Sherrill Milnes is a great singer and a great artist.

A thousand thanks to whoever sent this performance into my youtube video stream again. It has been three years since my last comment. I have tried to watch other productions of this opera, but i can't. Other singers of the role of Nabucco seem to be shouting, screaming, or bellowing. Milnes does none of these. Milnes sings. ❤❤❤
