I walked in Wayland along rt 20 , they didn't put sidewalks on both sides up to Weston (very pretty town common) and returned on the Rail Trail , the traffic would stress me out but the Rail Trail was really nice. Then I moved to Exeter NH and the traffic was better , 25 mph speed limit . most people went 35 or so.. A walk to Hannifords was around 2.4 miles, the PO was 1.4. Downtown Exeter is really nice. You are brave to walk along rt 28.

The algorithm has blessed you. Anyway Stoneham is beautiful! Occasionally when I93N is really bad, I'll take route 28 north. Goes right through Stoneham. Haven't seen much of it outside of 28 so thanks for this
