I just started this show. I'm on the episode with Varro's death but I keep putting off starting it. I started the show because of the actor. I really like Andy Whitfield so I think I can finish the season, but I just don't know if I can do season 2.

I liked Varro since the first time he appeared on screen. Too bad he was such a cool guy and so close to Spartacus that I knew from day 1 that the fucking producers would kill him. DAMN. Andy's Spartacus and Varro remain the best thing "Spartacus tv show" ever had.

Got the series for Christmas. Just watched the episode where Varro died. Cried like a baby!! Loved the character and the actor portraying him.

And thinking that they made Varro's appearance with light hair and eyes to stand out from the others and give him a boyish look due to get sympathies from audience. Now the we started like him more, they do that to us! Shame on you, producers! It was the saddest episode for me too... even sadder than that one when Sura dies...

In the beginning of the episode it was for me something like "Oh, cute. He [Varro] has forgiven his wife... nice! Well... F*ck! I thinks he's going to die... Sh*t!"... I know he was supposed to die and there's an interview with Whitfield (RIP) talking about that. But it is still so sad!
