The only real criticism you could levy towards ORAS is that it didn't have Emerald content. The Battle frontier, gym leader rematches, double battles, and enhancements made to gym leader teams.... none of them made it into ORAS for whatever reason. But other than that, ORAS is pretty solid.

imagine liking gen5. least favorite gen. I'd put gen4 at the top and gen3 right behind it in 2nd place, gen4 gave us the physical/special split...and platinum hard carried. 3 probably had one of the most balanced sets.

The Jigglypuff thing in Scarlet and violet wasn't a glitch, it happens when it's windy outside because Jigglypuff is mostly air.

I enjoyed ORAS but the worst thing they did was remove the battle frontier.

4:04 Yeah... Until Geeta came out. Then Diantha went up by one. Edit: People hate ORAS for the same reasons they hate gen 3. Too much water. However, in ORAS, the difficulty was lowered, Latias/Latios were just given to you, and their biggest sin was removing the battle frontier. On top of that, this was the next remake to come after HG/SS, so it didn't meet the quality expectations people had for it. Also no trainer customizations (despite this being in X/Y)

Wow i cant believe it but i agree almost completely with this list. My favourite gens to play are 6,5,4 but yeah... SV could have been great but are close to the bottom for me...just....not enjoyable.

My personal ranking is, from best to worst: 5, 4, 3, 7, 6, 2, 1, 9 Gen 9 is the worst Pokémon generation ever. The games lack in every department, from technical mistakes to terrible game design. The maps barely deserve the name of “map” considering they’re the worst Pokémon locations ever. There’s no level scaling. The cities have nothing to do in them. The gym puzzles are not even puzzles. The story is concentrated in the first and last three hours of the main game and the middle just feels hollow. I could honestly go on for hours. Saying they weren’t rushed is just not true, man. I’m happy you liked the games, but they’re rushed in every single aspect, not just game development.

Hear me out, I genuinely think gen 9 is the best generation. They finally did something new and fresh for the series. Seeing Pokémon in the over world is infinitely better than the random tall grass encounters. It is so much more enjoyable for new players and I feel like people only enjoy the old style of encounters because of nostalgia. They just did so many things right in SV, imo the only thing you can really criticise about them is the performance issues. Even beyond Scarlet and Violet, we have no idea what Legends Z-A is going to be like-I personally think (and hope) it’s going to be one of, if not the best Pokémon game ever made. People love shitting on the newest entries in a series, I’ve been playing these games since I was 3 and, without fail, people say the newest generation is the worst yet. I can’t wait to see everyone start praising gen 9 in 5-10 years while also saying gen 13 is the worst generation yet
