On November 11, 2024, a moving ceremony was held at the Japanese Canadian War Memorial in Vancouver's Stanley Park to honour Japanese Canadians who served in wartime.
This annual event was hosted by the Japanese Canadian War Memorial Committee, the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, and the Nikkei Place Foundation, with sponsorship from Veterans Affairs Canada and the National Association of Japanese Canadians.
