i used to shoot dope to bjm, and this was one of the songs i would always play and nod off to. I'm glad to say that I'm no longer shooting dope, and I'm gonna try to stay clean for as long as i can. i know that i wont be able to be completely sober forever, heroin gets a strong hold of ya and never lets go you could be clean for 5 years and get easily sucked back into it if you dont keep your guard up. its a love hate relationship you hate the fact that it controls you but then you hate the fact that you love that feeling of escape that you get from it. if it was cheap and didnt have to deal with withdrawals it be the perfect drug

Their bass player is an unsung hero. Judging by his sound, he used a Precision bass with flatwound strings and a pick. He creates such a bizarre undercurrent, it's just awesome.

'Ferment' is an underappreciated classic of its era. Best CW album by a good margin, if you ask me (though 'Chrome' is quite nice).
Along with XTC, one of rock's most CRIMINALLY underrated bands, "Ferment" and "Chrome" both destined to be classics. My sis turned me on to this band; will always be glad she told me they were headed my way, and I saw them at the Croc in Seattle.
S.A. Hogan What about Adam and Eve? My favourite album of theirs. Again, ridiculously underrated.

i wonder who even heard of this band before 1998 ,but i guess that don,t mater as long as u found them, i seen them once in late 98 and they blew me away in a small club on the l.e.s. ny got aticket from from some vj i knew [who would thing] mtv never even played them as far as i know,but it was one of those lucky music things that happen,when yoour a rocknroller 50 years .
