After trying tonnes of expensive shampoos and treatments on the market, one that actually made a difference for me is available at Woolies!! It’s the Dermal Therapy Scalp Relief shampoo and serum. The shampoo has urea in it, which healed irritated spots, and the serum actually stops the itch!! 🙌

My nose is being very weird at the moment and I can't do spray perfumes at the moment. I've been getting into the perfume oils and a friend gifted me a whole bunch of perfume oils because she didn't want them. Feeling very spoiled. Asedos was a brand in what she gave me and it had their version of Delina. Oh, that's so pretty.

OMG! You are so funny about the "room spray". I love the 59 spray. I didn't think I would like it but after testing it a few times when I went by a Mecca, I fell in love with it.

Weirdly, I still haven't found a Vitamin C serum that I love. For some reason, niacinamide is a lot more effective for brightening on me than Vitamin C.

Primer: the essence dupe of the dew drops. Foundation Estée Lauder double wear or erborian cc cream. Concealer nyx bare with me. Bronzer looking for one. Highlighter Pat McGrath or nabla skin glazing. Blush stila cream or path mcgrath powder. Powder Clinique loose powder or CT pressed one. Lip pencil any Mac one. Lipstick CT and guerlain. Lip gloss fenty. Lip oil clarins. Setting spray Mac or CT or UD. Eyeshadow …. Damn that’s a master report right there. Right now Bella beaute bar is my most used.

I love Chi Chi cosmetics; Aussie owned, but not made. Klara cosmetics also beautiful Aussie brand but not made in Australia. Luma cosmetics is made in Australia, their range is small but lovely. Kyla skincare are fantastic, their products are the best, made in Australia. Phased skin care is made in Australia. Skin Physics is made in New Zealand and Sukin and A’kin are great brands also made in Australia. Like you, I get a bit upset when I find an Australian brand that is not made in Australia, but I understand why; it’s the price point. Companies want to sell their products at prices that will actually sell. I will still reach for Australian owned over foreign brands even if they are not solely made in Australia though. You have to be proud of where you’re from and support local companies. I love that you stay true to this and plug Australian brands. It’s a shame a lot of Australian consumers don’t have this mindset

I’ve always been frugal; as an Aussie you know we pay through the nose for everything especially things like makeup, so I only but things on sale. I get upset when I think about the fact that I will never afford a house (I had my own house, but my selfish entitled ex made me sell it in the divorce) now as a single mother of 5 kids it’s killing me; I pay $1440 a fortnight in rent. I always look at sales and it pisses me off because I know how much companies overcharge to make a profit. Even if you but something super cheap (like clothes for your kids) and they don’t last, it’s false economy because you just have to replace it sooner. It’s a struggle, especially when I’m smart enough to realise sales are scams a lot of the time - just kills my soul

they're fine, I think when you go to the store and see the shades, it could be better, I can't speak for people with pale skin, and maybe its changed since the posting of this video, but they have propably like 8 shades total, which isn't that bad, but I feel like someone with a darker skin tone then me would struggle to find something, or with a more blue undertone to their skin. Like they're all very red-tinted. At first I thought the foundation was incredibly patchy but I think it was just my brushes. Because the problem went away pretty quickly. I think undertones are more important the darker the shade, because a peach colour has less complex colours in it then a brown (obviously, you need to mix more colours to get a brown then a peach or a pale white). Its a great start, but I would prefer some darker shades, and some more blue-tinted foundations. I have family from both Saudi-arabia and Sudan, which means I do have dark skin, but there are certainly people with darker skin then me from both those countries, and I think they would have trouble finding the correct shade in the xoxo foundation. I only got their foundation so I can't speak for anything else, but I think based on my experience with the foundation, I would try their other stuff, just maybe a little reluctantly.

Loved this vid. Can I ask Sam, why you use 2 bronzers and two blushes instead of only one of each? I'm thinking maybe I'm not doing my makeup properly.

My latest if I could only keep one product is UD Big bush brow tinted gel. It is miles better that the similar products from nyx, benefit or elf! Also my search for the perfect tubing mascara ended with Fiberwigs Dramatic lenght mascara. That has been my only mascara for over a year♥️

I have used Revlon Colourstay foundation since the 90s, but about 4 months ago I tried the Rimmel long lasting foundation and I’m hooked. It feels lighter on my skin and I found the perfect colour match. I also really love that Rimmel primer too. ❤

I totally agree with everything you have said. I think the difference with your parents' generation and yours (being in my 50s), is that I purchased my first home at 20. I drove a beater, had bean bags as lounges, bought everything secondhand, and took any used items that family were offering. Now, my sons and your generation drive beautiful vehicles, have big TVs, designer or brand-name clothing, shoes, handbags, and so on. Plus, my sons' generation wants to travel, have fantastic holidays, and then still want to buy a home and wonder why it's not achievable. My generation and those before me went without; we had the bare minimum to be able to purchase our own homes. Just my opinion and observation. When it comes to clothing, I wanted a pair of linen-blend wide-leg pants. I researched every option online and ended up purchasing a pair at full price from Kmart for $25. The quality was on par with the $60 and above pants that were advertising sales.

If you buy it on sale, you are still paying less, and giving them less profit, but more importantly paying less. I try to only buy things that I need on sale, or I just wait if possible for the next sale. Full price is a rip.

Fabulous video on this topic. You can rant all you want, because I agree with you. I almost never buy anything from Priceline or Chemist Warehouse unless there's a sale. I do like that, for example, The Ordinary is never on sale at Priceline, but once a year, they have a sale on their website and that's when I buy what I use from them to last me a year.

The blush ended up looking good...nice blush draping effect toning in with the eyeshadow. I have seen this sasles marketing ploy so often and for so long. There is always a sale....the various retailers are on rotation for who sells what brand at half price. If you cant get there or you forget to buy it online....thats totally fine...just wait a day or so. For younger people the waiting part is the hardest part...life is so instant now (which can be wonderful) but we are walking down a path that has what end? Im 49 and I have a 13 and 14 year old girls....they were born in the iphone era. Nothing appears out of their reach...intant grasp...except the things that matter like financial security....funny about that. I bought my first house at 25 years old. My parents actually bought their first house in their 30's. When a crappy 2 bed unit sells for $1M what are our kids going to do? I'm now working on getting my retirement right so as we can live in security. I'm following this forward by preparing for my childrens secure future....it is a lot....a really big lot.

There’s nothing like a mortgage to change your spending habits. I’ve never been a big consumer. I bought my first house, was not flash, when I was 20.

Right now i only purchase something if i need it or have run out or replacing something. Groceries only on sale is what we eat. Disillusioned with the high price of everything these days
