❤ Thank you !
Can't ignore it if the stitch is on the knitting needle already worked in previous rows🤔
Nice complete demo of the duplicate stitch . Thank you
Glad it was helpful! If there are other things you'd like to see, just let us know. ;)
While I’d heard of knitrino, I JUST TODAY found out about the Kamala shirt! Oh my gosh bought it right away and now have to wait to get home and swatch for it. In the meantime I need to learn how to make a duplicate stitch, 😱😱 Glad to be on board and help make a change!!!❤
Yay! Thank you! And never fear, there's a video showing Duplicate Stitch right in the pattern in Knitrino, and also on our channel here!
So excited! 😊😊
I am thankful that this episode was in my feed today. Wow. Such an important issue. Ceci, 👏👊❤💥 Your response to the question why is this election so important was exactly what a lot of people need to hear and know. You are quite right, this election is far more important than Kamala or single issue advocacy or party affiliation. Democracy at risk in 2024 in the U.S..... who would have thought it??? (I love the KAL project. I salute it and the collab you all have.)
So glad you enjoyed this and thanks for the encouragement! Keep an eye out for the next episode.❤
Bonjour
Love your karaoke Alison!!! Another glorious podcast from you girls and super interesting input from the Mont Tricot team. That cowl is gorgeous. My badass knitting story must be dropping down 74 rows to fix a miss-crossed cable!!! I did it 😊
Awesome karaoke!!!
Y’all are adorable. Guests were great, too! My badass knitting is aran sweaters for me and the husband. Love the stories, love the karaoke, love you, love the podcast and Knitrino.
I have a hard time wearing my knit sweaters because hand washing is so time consuming
🍓 You two are too much! I think my most badass knitting moment is making the Wingspan shawl for my bestie. So proud of that thing!
Love the podcast! Well, I think my badass knitting story would be just that my attitude when things go wrong in knitting. My feeling is that when it happens I think of it as a learning experience and more knitting time. Sure , I would prefer not making mistakes but when I do , it’s more than likely on me , so I really can’t be upset. Knitting is about getting rid of stress not making stress❤
Ichigo! Love your stories. I think my first knit sweater (cardigan!) was pretty badass- pockets, hood, non-knitrino pattern… and it’s still super cute.
I heart you two! Loving your podcast! Keep up the great work :)
good podcast
I am still working on my Solaris Wrap, also for my mother.
Leg warmers??
that was my guess about what you found in the basement. The first thing I ever knit was a hat.
Hi Andrea and Alison, I really enjoyed your podcast! I also love classical music! I am an adult beginner on the piano so I have studied mostly classical composers. I will be listening to the virtuoso that you mentioned. My favorite piece of Rachmaninoff is Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. One of my favorite movie, Somewhere In Time uses that piece in their music score. I loved how you both were showing the mittens, it reminded me of “Jazz Hands” lol! I need a pair of those , so beautiful! My first knitted object was a garter stitch scarf with fringe. I still have it after about 50 years! I was about 15 when I knitted it. I also still have my first crochet item also, around the same time, a granny square blanket. Thank you for sharing your stories, I always look forward to your podcast.
Hi Lorrie! Andrea here and thank you SO much! It was a nice connection to hear about your piano studies. Alison and I both play piano, although for me that has mostly turned into "played" since I haven't owned a piano in many years. I especially LOVE that you still have your first knitted object! That is truly incredible. Thank you so much for watching <3
I forget what I've made. I do wear one of my sweaters at least once a week. It was one that when I was finished I felt proud of how it looked. I love listening to you two.
I love wearing my knits and my mom says I stopped trying to fit in when I was 2 years old 🤪
I suggest showing a braided join sometime. I usually only use super wash yarns and love using a braided join. Although I hold it in my teeth which may be difficult to show 😮
This is my first time watching, maybe because I have sisters I like the rambling, it's how sisters really are. My knitting goal is to one day make a bag.
A joy to watch and just the right amount of rambling (lol, very little, lol)
(commenting on my spouse’s account-this is April) I’m afraid of snagging for sure! Cat paws, fences, brambles. But i also think i’m going to move away from superwash and toward sturdy worsted and woolen yarns. But partly it’s if i spent $50 (or more!) on the yarn and hours and hours, i don’t want it ruined. 😬
I wear my knits ALL. THE. TIME. I have always enjoyed wearing clothing that was just a little bit different; I got away from that a bit in my early 30s and knitting has helped me get back to those roots. Alison- I always do the tie and tuck with the ends of my triangle scarves!
You guys are great and personally, I enjoy knitting while you ramble. LOL I really do love hearing about your journey and your idea and development of your App is amazing. I have to admit that I've downloaded Knitrino, but haven't used it yet. I am usually an early adapter to technology enablers. However, I am still using paper and tick sheets. I will have to try again. I have made sweaters that i don't wear, mainly because they don't fit properly or i've used the wrong yarn. I also find that I get too hot in knits. More recently, I have made short sleeve tops and I wear them more. Rosie
Thanks for being here Rosie! And we LOVE our short sleeve tops too!
i love wearing my knits! i'm always so proud to tell people i made it myself when i get compliments. this year i'd love to make a steeked cardigan!
Oh, steeked cardigans are awesome! I was thinking of doing a Steeked Geofade KAL here, where maybe a bunch of people could actually knit & steek along with us. I wonder if people would like that?
@@knitrino I think that would be great! i have all the yarn to make geofade but I haven't started yet because i've been considering trying to steek it
So much of the podcast resonated with me! Especially the part of wearing my knits. I do wear them but my sweater and a few of my shawls I feel ii might wear them out, or ruin them somehow. I need to get over that, it's kinda like not using your favorite yarn. I love how you are so fun together, I like how you go on tangents/ babbling as you put it 🤣 when discussing things, that's what makes your podcasts so much fun! I would like to knit more color work this year, the mittens would fit the bill! They are adorable and I'm interested in learning about the afterthought thumb. I hope you keep podcasting, I look forward to them! ❤️
Awesome Lorrie! We're so thrilled you're enjoying the podcast, and yay for wearing your knits more! Keep an eye out, the mittens should be released in the next few weeks. 😉
Enjoyable podcast. That's gals! I'd like to make a sweater that fits properly!!
Also I should tell you that I heavily rely on paper patterns. I cut them up and put them in a note book and write notes all over them. A bit like a scrapbook, so to use an APP is a real change for me.
I'm an old broad and I never thought I would like using an online app for a pattern. But I absolutely loved using it. It was so much fun.
Yay Lynne! We're so thrilled you're enjoying Knitrino and the podcast! 🥰
I love this, it’s like an afternoon with girl friends
That's wonderful! It's how we feel too, even if we get to hang out with you just in the comments. 🥰
I get what you’re saying but I don’t mind the word “hobby” - I love my hobbies! It IS also at to me. But I kinda like the idea of changing up how I refer to it (and my gardening 😁) ❤
ART not at (gee, thanks but no thanks, phone 🙄) Anyway, I think of hobbies as things I love to do that are not jobs 😊
That makes perfect sense. ❤️
I love wearing my knits. I wear them every day. I layer them up going out when it’s cold and dry and i couldn’t be happier than when I’m wearing loads of wool!! My knitting goal is to knit a cabled sweater or cardigan this year. It is so fun to sit, knit and listen to you chat Alison and Andrea. Thank you 😊
Alison, I love your admission at the end about skiing 😂
😂 It's the truth!
Love your hat!! <3 And your timing was perfect - I'm just about to join a color and wasn't sure if I was doing it right. Turns out my method was ok (first one you demonstrated), but now I have other options that I'm excited to try. It was a fun episode and I'm looking forward to the next one!
Melanie! So nice to see you here. And thanks for the comments - I'm so happy the demos were useful! Let us know if there are other things you'd like to see! 🥰
Alison - that hat is sooooo cute!!! Please share a pic of you wearing it on the slopes with your red ski sweater next time you get to ski!!!!! I loved this episode and really appreciate all the tips for joining a new colour. I knew a few but not all of them so thank you. Thank you for taking the time to sit and share so much with us ❤
Jean, you're the best! I'm so glad the tips were helpful! And I will definitely take pictures the next time I ski. 🥰
Thank you for the demo, I learned a new way to add new color! Thanks 🤗
I'm so glad! Let us know ideas of what you'd like to see in the future! 🥰
Hi, I was just about to buy the kit for the Angels Landing shawl. When I go to buy the kit the payment says to pay 14.50 which is the pattern only. Did the last kit get sold? Thank you for your podcast.
Hi Lorrie! We still have one kit remaining. If you email us at support at knitrino.com, we can help you out. :)
It was so lovely to sit and knit with you girls!I loved listening to you chat. Please keep doing these ❤
Jean, you are the best! Thanks so much for the encouragement. ❤️
woo hoo, you already have a topic for next time! that means we'll get at least one more episode ;)
Haha, you are the best! ❤️
I’ve loved watching your journey and have enjoyed testing and being in one of your “lefty knitters” focus groups. Rooting for y’all all the way!
Thanks so much Rachel! We appreciate you! 🎉
very enjoyable.
Thanks Marebeth! ❤️
loved your podcast! you are both so sweet!
Thanks Rose! We're so glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
So glad you two are doing a podcast!!!
Thanks Eileen! 🎉
Excellent podcast, ladies! ❤ Your videos are always so informative and helpful!!
You're the best Meaghan! Thanks for the kind words. ❤️
yay!
Back at you! ❤️
I love this shawl !!!!! I plan to make another in a different color scheme soon…more WIPs is a good thing! Right?
Definitely, more WIPs are good for you! I can't wait to see your next choice for colors!
What was the name of that place that Karen works for?
Hi Heidi! Great to see you around these parts. :) It's Greystone Bakery: greystonbakery.com/
@@knitrino Missed the live show last night so had to rewatch. Romi loves my favorite color--gold! So of course I purchased the ebook. :) Waiting for the Knitrino launch!
