I’m assuming this is the same mount vernon high school up in westchester county. I always liked this school even though I never went to this school. This school holds a special memory for me because this is the same school that performed with one of my favorite gospel singers the late reverend timothy wright which he did a live recording with the school choir back in 89 sadly I didn’t attend the live recording but I did have the album. This school also holds a special memory for me because this school along with various other high schools colleges and universities all came together from all over the country to New York City to do a live recording album titled the glory of gospel which was done live at a high school auditorium at some high school in New York City here. I don’t remember the name of the school but I remember always watching the vhs cassette tape every weekend both mount Vernon high school and stuyvasent high school were the only schools representing the big apple all of the other schools all came from other parts of the country. But you guys at mount vernon had always stood out you guys can sing and boy did you guys sing. I can see why the late Timothy wright chose you guys for his live album I wish I would have kept the glory of gospel album on vhs I still remember the song that you all sang back in 89 on the glory of gospel concert called stand. I hope all of the former students from mount vernon who all took part in that 1989 concert read this comment and all have great memories of taking part in that concert boy it sure brings back memories for me as I would always watch that vhs tape so religiously. As for the students of the present mount vernon high school I hope you guys keep singing and who knows maybe lord willing I just might travel from Brooklyn to mount Vernon n.y to your school and watch you all sing. Thanks for letting me share some memories and good luck on future plans and be safe oh boy amen 😊
