I am messaging from New Zealand in respect to Ishiwata tubing. I have an early 1980's Schwinn MTB that was sold only as frame and forks. The tubing is stamped Ishiwata 3.B on the steerer tube. I wish to find out if Ishiwata used the Japanese Showa calender or the Western calender. I known that in the early 1980's Ishiwata closed but became Kaisei producing the same tubing. Keirin cycles used Ishiwata tubing and I believe they are know made from Kaisei tubing. Does anybody know definately what calender Ishiwata used. In my search fo 10 years I have not had a truthful answer. Les

Why is it that building is relegated to the last step in building which is assembly. Ninety five percent of the time is spent long before the components are merely put together. This is merely the final assembly as opposed to actually build.
