Hey all! Long time no see :) I’m gonna talk about recording black metal with different cassette tape plugins to achieve the infamous crap (Lofi) sound.

Great video! I have the problem that I can't achieve this distortion guitar tone you have in the video. I've tried a huge number of plugins and the guitar sound still doesn't come out as "clean" as yours :( Can you give me some advice?

I'm on the same way. Use on mix buss a sort of tape/cassette emulation smothe some highs and feels like the old days (in analogue fields).
that worked rather well. I think the think that sounds cool about shitty tape recordings is that it has this sort of squished/compressed and warbly sound, along with it being raw. I think the rawness is the least appealing aspect of the sound, it's the way it makes the drums and overall sound, punchy and unique.

This brings me back to my teens :) Blast beat, Borrow some mics, borrow a banged up peavy mixer, Digitech rp/boss guitar pedals, DI bass, and a double cassette deck. Record session and copy up demo. A lot of the sound is limited to no knowledge of mixing/tracking and the tape to tape copy. :D
Reverb on master, squashed drums, distorted mid-range. Underground of mixing techniques. Great to see you are trying to do YOUR thing and not making metal even more fucking sterilized.

Well the Master track in most cases is already routed for you, you just need to find where it is in your daw :) for example in reaper it's the big meter + fader down in the left hand side of the app

Hi! I've noticed you're using a Linux distro. Did you have any problem with activating EzDrummer and making it work? I think is not native isn't it? so maybe you've used yabridge. I just wanted to know if it works using yabridge. It gave me some problems in Mint when I wanted to use some of my Softube plugins and Native Instruments too (couldn't install the Native Instruments hub to load amplitube, wine loader showed me a black square...). And also I would like to know what distro are you using, just to test myself in my computer the plugin compatibility. Cheers!
Yeah I'm using yabridge and just like you many intrusive DRM protected software like ik multimedia did give me massive problems, many DRM-less software however work flawless if you want to change things up a bit , a tip on yabridge is to use older versions of wine(I recommend at the time of this comment wine 8.0 stable or even 8.22) and holding the package back so it doesn't get updated when you update your system plus read the yabridge's GitHub readme for some work arounds of making native instruments work :) and lastly I'm using EndeavourOS (basically an arch installer) with held back wine 8.18 with reaper! Good luck!

the question is how to use ml drums in reaper, how to make track with it...???
1) Add it to Reaper by right clicking on the track section and selecting "Add instruments" 2) Add MIDI Notes to the track or write your own MIDI Drum loops. There are ton of pre-made metal Drum MIDI packs you can get that does the job, basically just drag and drop them to the track :)
@@satyarsh665 got it, but it is hard work to do a song with midi I think... ML drums I see doesn't offer song building and exporting to wav. Free ML has any packs with pre made metal drum ? Can't find it.
