‘57 two door Fairlanes are a great project. Shaping up well it seems. Now for the stance, you don’t want the whole rear tire showing. I would respectfully suggest lowering the rear 6 inches. First I’ve seen of this project.

I have to laugh at these pretend gassers with their so-called "straight" axles. That axle is a joke. "Straight"? Gimme a break. The car's hideous.

I'm not a drag car person, but want to ask a dumb question so please don't crucify me over it. What makes a gasser a gasser? Is it just the highly sprung front suspension? Every gasser I've seen has a lot of "lift", so is that what makes it a gasser? What is the advantage or reason for doing the suspension this way, as opposed to the more common approach of lowering the front end for better aerodynamics? Are there other unique aspects that make it a gasser? Thank you in advance.

I grew up appreciating to old cars, Ford of course, is what my family had. I show my 13 yo daughter random vids of these classics. I showed her this video, she said that's beautiful. She wants to know if you're painting the rest of the car in the darker blue. I said you probably are. I'm assuming the two tone you have started?
