@@Luca-yb4sh other than Krillin and Tien who have their own technique in destructo disc and Tri-Beam and Yamcha's wolf fang fist most everyone else shares techniques. half of them know Tien's multi form, Gohan's arsenal is mostly Piccolo's moves with the Kamekameha added in. Goku is the biggest hoarder of techniques in the crew.

I haven't rewatched in sometime; did King Kai not teach the humans kaioken? Why?

@ not canon but yes saiyans can definitely train to control ozaru. This is in reference to the hypothetical situation where Goku had his tail when fighting vegeta in the saga in saga which is a good 18 or so years before pan was conceived. Vegeta would definitely not help Goku learn mid fight and Goku wouldn’t have his same fighting abilities when out of control

@@Tothemoon96 technically GT isn’t canon since it wasn’t written by toriyama but that doesn’t really affect your point. All that really matters here is that Goku, during the saiyan saga, wouldn’t have had control over ozaru IF he did have a tail at the time

@@dogma06 well for the first two, I believe the chamber had different gravity so it aided in their training. Also I don’t see anything too wrong with either of those. You can try something for a couple of years (say drawing) and then really improve in a single year in comparison to the others. The Trunks one is pretty funny though, I would’ve annihilated 18 then and there 🤣

@ the diffrent gravity is anime only thing, but i get the point. It just sheer amount of those small issue helds this saga for me (especially since i read manga mostly, where pace is really fast and fights are short). Like how can gero build such powerful androids in the first place? Or why didnt gero built himself with infinite power source like rest of androids? What will cell do after destroying earth (before gaining instant transmision as a fast way to move around)? Why did nobody told trunks whereabouts of new namek so he could revive his friends? So for me this saga has good characterization, good highlights, but terrible pacing, doesnt explore a lot of topics (16, 17 and 18 dont do much as you mention), and cell is great, but feels generic in comparison to other standout villains

@@MajinJavy DB is the goat of all anime and Cell Saga is my favorite so yeah. This is also based on anime I’ve seen mind you. Two greats I haven’t seen are AoT or One Piece

​@@melodyllama_4988 entire DBZ wasn't his tbh, I'm still doesn't understand how he even is considered a main character when he show up for few minutes, often jist to take a beating and die, end up in coma or go missing for few years lol almost whole DBZ was carried by Gohan, Vegeta and Piccolo, Goku had his moments against Frieza and Majin Buu, but with Buu he still was heavily supported by Vegeta so it wasn't really his fight tbh

@@usuario15965 these are all valid points man! I fucking adore this arc but there are some things that I wouldn’t exactly call “cons” but more like missed opportunities. Goku being out for so long is unfortunate and I didn’t even think about him fighting Gero. That would’ve been really cool. I love Cell but it did seem like he hogged the arc and by the end, completely took over, even though he is incredible

@@melodyllama_4988 There are multiple examples, but you can start with the start of the arc were everyone just goes a long with the plan to do nothing about the Androids a head of time. Only for the arc to essentially be reset later (Trunks' return), and now the characters wanting to be proactive to stop 17 and 18 from being activated. Let me ask you a few questions, how old were you when you first saw or read this arc? (I find Americans who saw it young, tend to favor it) Had you read/seen the entirety of Dragon Ball up to that point? And how much Anime have you seen to declare THIS of all things the greatest arc? Thanks

Everything leading up to Goku facing down Frieza is legendary. Not only did he avenge the Saiyan Prince and his entire race from a galactic threat, he became the legend itself.

Goku vs Frieza is better than Gohan vs Cell, but the Android/Cell saga completely clowns on the Namek saga (like Trunks clowned on Frieza).

I disagree because Gohan turning super saiyan 2 felt like a great twist on a typical coming of age moment. Goku turning super saiyan was built up and character significant but Gohan turning super saiyan 2 was much more complicated and dark because of how gohan’s rage turned into sadism against cell. It shows how unstable a transformation like that could make a person, much more than when Goku turned super saiyan. Also I really like goku’s fight against cell and many of the other android saga fights. The namek fights are incredible too but I just think the two sagas are too different to compare. It’s almost like the android saga inverted (or subverted IDK) a lot of elements from the namek saga.

@melodyllama_4988 I wasn't being confrontational either. I just have a strong disagreement, lol. Especially with him being generic, lol. While I understand that there would be a concern for too many gun oriented characters, Leon's universally one of the more unique exceptions since he doesn't rely on weapons so often. In a lot of media moving from RE4 onwards, we see him demonstrate enough to make him a perfect candidate for MvC. More specifically with H2H. He'd more than likely use knife combat and his H2H with minimal guns although they'd be present in his arsenal (IE: His Taekwondo, Russian Systema, Jujitsu, Kali, Krav Maga, and Pro Wrestling to name a few) which was demonstrated against Ada, Chris, Svetlana, Krauser, and most recently, Jill. Small notation of having a small western style shoot out with Jason. He would probably have his Lightning Hawk, Wingshooters (maybe his Sentinel Nine), Primal Knife, and maybe an additional weapon such as a Shotgun or something less thought about like the Stingray or his Machine Gun from Damnation keeping him tactical yet agile. He could also have a parry mechanic brought straight from RE4 Remake. Specials can include his knife, Special Launcher from RE4, and maybe a cool combo H2H style. Back throw would be the infamous Suplex while his forward throw could be either from RE6 (Overhead throw) or he can get the opponent in a headlock and shoot their neck and push them to the side (like he did to the A Virus Zombie in Vendetta) While I agree with Regina from Dino Crisis to be a primary Gun-Play representative (since she doesn't demonstrate any H2H), I do feel adding Leon would essentially separate him from the rest of the cast entirely. He'd be the "Dante" of RE characters. Allowing other possible additional RE characters to have their own gimmicks and keeping the original characters the same. Plus, adding a fan favorite from both Japan and the US would be a strategic move for sales. However, I don't completely disagree with your list as I share a very similar request. However, I'd be interested to see a list that's heavy on newcomers since, let's be real, all of us know and want all the OGs back. Spiderman not being in there would be a travesty, Wolverines absence was already hard enough. With Ruby Heart and Amigo coming back, that'd be a blast from the past.

@melodyllama_4988 characters like sleepwalker, iron lad, pixie, synch, night thrasher could really benefit from a game like this. Speaking as a long time marvel fan the mvc series was my introduction to characters like shuma gorath, taskmaster and x 23 I didn't know them before it and I grew to like them that's why imo is important to put characters like then in a game like this they can get new fans and some well deserved appreciation
