MAPD stands for Make Art Precede Death and its message is to encourage viewers to seize the day every day as well as enlightening and empowering my fellow African American millennial travelers to broaden our horizons and look beyond domestic party hot spots when traveling.
I aim to show that travel is not reserved for the rich and famous and that with the right preparation, normal everyday people can and do travel the world.
MAPD is inspired by a quote from a man named Arsene Wenger who once said "the only way to deal with death is to transform everything that precedes it into art."
I found it a beautifully fitting mantra to live by, especially as it pertains to traveling, and from it my vlog was born!

OMG!! What a harrowing experience with your vehicle getting stuck in the mud! I lead my small tours in Kenya as a certified international tour guide. I work with a Destiination company in Nairobi and have had the same tour guide for the last 14 years! We always have a rather large top-notch vehicle to avoid the mud traps that you experienced. So glad that the animals had already had their meal before you got stuck! Really good video. Thanks for sharing!
