Korean cellist GaYeon Kim is substantially building her international reputation since her solo concerto debut in 2015 at the Seoul Arts Center. Awarded top prizes from prestigious competitions in Korea such as the Ewha-Kyunghyang Competition, The Music Association of Korea Competition, and the SungJeong Music Competition. Kim has appeared in professional venues throughout Korea, Germany and the US including the Berliner Philharmoniker Kammermusikssal, Jordan Hall, Seoul Arts center, Seongnam Arts Center, Youngsan Art Hall, Ceramic Palace Hall, Changchun Hall, and Mapo Art Center. Kim participated in international music festivals including the Heifetz International Festival, Festival MusicAlp, Just Vivace Festival, Seongnam Music Festival and Andre Navarra Memorial Festival. Kim was conferred Bachelor of Music degree from the Seoul National University under the tutelage of Minji Kim, and Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory with Laurence Lesser.
