The first mountain I faced my fear of ski lifts at and fell in love with snowboarding hard core. They have the best bbq sandwich vibes and runs in North Carolina I count the seconds untill me and my family go back. We pack on Friday leave as early as we can Saturday hit the slopes for one day and drive home every weekend when there’s snow love it there have some of my happiest memories of my life there

Sugar Mountain is less than a 2 1/2 hour drive for the surround Charlotte Region. Highway driving 77 to 421 to 105, Easy!!! Fast chairlifts, good parking, All run types less the Terrain parks. Worth the Time and Money to enjoy A Fun Outdoor activity. Pray for Cold dry Nights so Gunther can Blow his Guns 💪!!

Ready to see the New Big Birch Lift. When was the last time GW was Open? Would be my Second most used lift if it was.

Just become a Regular this year. Worth the extra 30 minutes to get there early for the upper lot.

The slopes are good, but their customer service and the way they treat people is horrible! My friend had his his ticket come unclipped from his jacket so the new employee lady at the lift made a mistake and didn't print the words "replace" on his new ticket, after a few runs a different ticket checker pulled him out of line and after a 30 minute interrogation said it was against their policy to let him back in even though the reprinted ticket from the new lady had the correct date. The resort policy is a very selfish and a greedy one and the the old men there act like armed naz*s guards Very disappointed and will be warning people.

Basically, everyone skis down the one slope because that is where they all converge. The conditions have been terrible for years and every once in a while they get snow like this video is showing. The ski patrol yanked my ski pass off my jacket and tore my zipper on it. I had to throw it out. This was because they said I was skiing to fast. As a former ski instructor, I told them I always ski fast and wasn't going to change my ski style just to please them. This area is for beginners by the way.

I’ve seen a couple brands leave audio out of their commercials. This one doesn’t do well like that. Add a song or some voice over into it. Love sugar though. Best resort in the smokies hands down. They never stop blowing snow so they’ve got the best snow always, even if it’s a bit icy. And they always make sure their main run is open from the top to bottom.

My daughter started in ski school here at age 5, as I'm not good enough to have taught her myself safely. Now, 6 seasons later, we came back in January 2020 as we have every year, and we ski on Tom Terrific and Gunther's Way (the best trail in the southeast, IMHO) and any/every trail that's open. Sure, we travel around in winter to ski different places, but all roads lead back to Sugar Mountain.
