I’m the same re pattern of stitching, I like to see progress and don’t want bogged down with projects . Thanks for the update, I use to sew with a hoop that I also like to have really tight, changed to a q snap and love it but was still getting bad hand pain, so whilst moochin about on fb destash group a lady was selling a lowery for cheap, decided it wouldn’t be the first 50 quid I’d waste and took a chance omg amazing no more hand pain and two handed stitching makes things a lot quicker. Did have the qsnap slip slightly so just wrap a few elastic bands round the head. Works like a dream, The lowrey does take abit of fiddling with to sort the set up for you, mines got a great big lump of slate as the tend to topple if you can’t get them under you stitch spot chair. I also opted for the longer arm as our sofas got quite deep armrest. Happy stitching x

That was a good update Heather, I love your wee cushion,it turned out great! I’m sure you will enjoy the mill hills, I must try some on Aida, esp those that aren’t full coverage. My mum has that Lowry stitched and framed, it looks good on the wall with another, I must get mine framed too, professional framing is dear though. Looking forward to next update x

The pumpkin spice chart is lovely might get that myself. I recognise the country companions from the 90s as I started stitching then and after a long break came back to it a year ago. Did you see the quilt Fayre on in storment hotel from 1-3 September, no cross stitch unfortunately I think but might pick up a few handy embellishments etc x

Thanks for sharing Heather, you could try 25 count easy grid one over one for your HAED it’s nice to stitch on and easy to see,lots are stitching them in tent stitch also which speeds things up a lot, maybe consider that, I remember that gorgeous one you were kitting up,it would be a shame to abandon it! Even on 25 ct Lugana if you don’t like the grids. Hope you continue stitching your wips, maybe you need a new start for some motivation 😃 I heard your cat creating and thought it was mine, I kept pausing you to listen.. he’s very vocal 😹Have a great week!

I’m glad to see Aida becoming a bit more popular, I don’t get on with linen at all, except my zweigart murano which is a dream, if stitching full coverage which I have favoured recently Aida all the way! Most of my things are on Aida! I’m the same re finishing, Yasmine made with love has a great channel too, and has a few finishing ideas. I have no machine so am goi g to try a small pillow by hand….eeeek! Great progress and love the HAED you've picked, I do like her charts, but the thought of doing one is quite daunting 😬 Are you going to do 2x2 on the fabric for her?

You've lots to keep you busy, love the geisha, maybe a Japanese symbol to hide the mark? I don't think I'd tackle a HAED but to save pennies you could get your DMC from love crafts at 69p a skein. Have you made any progress on the dresses?
