Hello there, I'm Jay. I'm a transitfan and railfan based in the Greater Golden Horseshoe area. Here on this channel I'll be posting transit and train videos.
Amtrak 46 on the Maple Leaf (VIA 97/Amtrak 64) at Nash Rd
Leading this New York-bound run on the Maple Leaf train (VIA train 97/Amtrak train 64) is P42DC 46, which is a 50th anniversary heritage unit.
This video was filmed on October 31, 2024 at 09:26. The crossing in this video is at mile 38.56 of the CN Grimsby sub, at Nash Road in Hamilton, ON.
Apologies for all of the wind sounds in this video, it was very windy when I got the video. I actually saw Amtrak 46 the evening before but I wanted to get it during the daytime.

Awsome catch catching this heritage unit on this maple leaf
Yea awesome catch catching this heritage unit on this maple leaf
I touch my but because one of the black lady was showing her but to me on her white pants when she was getting of at Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Subway Station and at Dufferin Street when she was sitting down on the first seat she was again showing her but to me
Saw him around Essa, I usually film here. Nice catch!
I feel like YRT is eliminating most of their routes and not providing better service. Like the 90 Leslie which is every 45 minutes I think, Also, I want to get a ride on a EZ Rider II soon before they retire.
Yeah, it's pretty bad. The main issue is that YRT doesn't get enough funding to provide better service and keep routes that have low ridership. Unless they want to cut service on routes with good/decent ridership, it's the "lower ridership" routes (routes with bad service) that will have to suffer. They pretty much always put Eldorados on the 522, so it's not going to be too hard. But I guess the weekday only service might make it difficult.
I keep meaning to film this route but the time never seems right! Great video! You’re the first transit fan to film this route!
Thanks! Yeah about the time, since this is the southbound trip I actually ended up in Ennismore for 2 hours (since I took the previous northbound trip) lol. Unrelated but do you know if late night trips on the 5 and 6 are showing '5 ex' and '6 px' on their headsigns since that's what's on the system map? I'm out of town for school right now and I probably won't be able to see late night trips at all this year.
@@KawarthaTransiteer I would not be too sure but most likely as I think went they used to be 5A and 6C, they would display that letter.
Is there a route of YRT from Markham to Tinley and vice versa?
@@ANIVIEMACERO-sf9rv This is the wrong Markham, the one in this video is in Ontario, Canada. Regardless, Pace Bus route 364 runs along 159th Street between Markham, IL and Tinley Park.

Nice equipment move run catch. Why is 255 missing its left and right side green stripes by the way and only has them in the middle below the cab car front door?
Thanks, I'm not completely sure to be honest.
👍👍👍
This is CN A451. Actually caught this at Mount Albert. Awesome Catch btw. :D
Awesome Catch with the SD70I Leader. :D
Awesome Catch! I subscribed to you. :D
Thanks! I appreciate it

Muy buen video Excelente estimado amigo 😊increíble 😮un saludo 👋🏻
Nice video! I love these buses!
Same, they're great buses
Uniform consist! They look so good 🤩
👍👍😎
Very slow bus driver
The back wrap was removed from this unit.👍😀
Nice!
I saw Cn 3256 come through here today
Nice to hear that
Nice video!!
Aww almost all the cars were in the new colors! Even both the engines! But seems like the ad-covered car is in old colors :(
How do you tell the difference between the C44-9 and the ES44DC?
Fleet number lol
@@KawarthaTransiteer 😂😂!
Nice catch
Thanks
before it was "To Pickering Parkway.. terminal"
What’s your favourite PTBO Transit bus wrap? I like the Country. bakery one on 4108.😀
Mine right now is the Invasion of Fatburg one on 1904
@@KawarthaTransiteer That one is pretty intresting as well. I found an image of 3608 as a Christmas bus.
How would you rank all 2004-2005 Novas in terms of how they sound and . Also 4208 was in service today and along with 2204 are the only two buses with the Bag your Bags rear wrap!👍
I was at Wonderland today and while I was on Dragon Fyre, I could see the 320 and 4 Major Mackenzie from the chain lift. Lovely ride!
Nice, last time I was there was a few years ago. Nowadays I'd definitely take note of all the YRT buses around lol
@@KawarthaTransiteer Also, a suggestion, can you try to film a ride on either Peterborough Transit 2204, or 1704 or a bus ride on the YRT 10 Woodbridge?
@@TheTransitTopian Sure, I can do those when it's possible. I've actually been meaning to get ride videos on all of the buses from 2004 and 2005 since they might be retiring soon.
@@KawarthaTransiteer 2204 sounds strange and it looks like it might be the first to retire. I only saw 1704 for about 2 weeks in early May, I also want to collect a transfer from every bus and film them. It looks like 4208 or 4608 might be gone or enduring maintenance somewhere.👍
Oh, and thanks BTW.
yo do u have 26 maple
I don't right now if you want I can get it next week
@@KawarthaTransiteer yes please also can u post more externals
@@transitcitytoronto Sure, I actually got some yeaterday will try to upload them
Thanks for filming it. Also, have you seen any of the Peterborough Transit ARBOC buses that used to run on On-Demand and 10 Technology Drive? I’ve only see. 8921 at the Public Works.
You're welcome. Unfortunately I don't recall seeing one of those recently.
@@KawarthaTransiteer Okay, thanks.😁
the fact that it waited for an entire cycle if traffic lights is wild. This project is so bad might as well just tunnel the entire thing. It’s giving spadina streetcar without signal priority 🤣🤣 this project is such a joke
Could you film the 3 Park next?
Sure, when I have the chance I'll get a video
@@KawarthaTransiteer Okay, thanks! 😀
@@TheTransitTopian Yeah no worries
❤❤
Great catches and awesome video
Thanks!
By "last day of operation", they mean of the season. The route is being suspended for the summer.
I know in the summer they do training and come to UTM
@@peelregiontransitwill this route be reinstated in September?
What is departure and arrival?
@@arosha2659check out the route schedule through Brampton Transit. Starting September 3, the route will be reinstated. Earliest departure from Brampton Gateway terminal is 8am and arrives at UTM at 8:38am
I never thought this route would take almost an hour. Maybe 30 minutes at least.
Yeah, I think it's due to the winding routing it has, plus a bunch of padding at Vaughan Mills and when it reaches Jane Street.
Nice
Recently saw CP 2254 and CP 2307 near Myrtle Station, Whitby, Ontario. With those same box cars and took a video!!
That's nice to hear. Pretty standard for CP H07 and H08 between Agincourt and Havelock.
Sounds amazing
Great capture
Thanks!
I like how the bus wrapping is in the middle so it doesn’t take up the whole bus and it’s hard to film.
Agreed. Back in January when there was that big snowstorm I tried to get a video on 4108 but since it has a full wrap I couldn't get anything out of the window.
@@KawarthaTransiteer 4108 has a country bakery ad. also 1704 is back in a full wrap and so is 1904 and 2304. 2605 has had a wrap for a while.
I caught that train at Rink Street.
Nice!
GOOD MORNING Best KawarthTransiteer CANADA ONTARIO RUclips VIDEO MISSISSAUGA TRANSIT 🇨🇦🇨🇦🍃🍀🍀🌿🌿🌿
When the SuperLo first came to Barrie in 2021, as a special 68D shuttle due to Barrie Line shutdowns, I also rode the SuperLo in town from Allandale Station to Barrie South. :) Now they're a regular fixture. Some Route 68s go all the way to Union, because they diagramme to Route 65 after Newmarket. Would be interesting to check Transsee and see if any 88s get onto a route that gets you to the subway after Oshawa.
I'm sure there are some trips that have the bus go onto a route that connects to the subway, but due to the scheduling of both the 88 and the other routes in Oshawa the two routes don't continuously run. Last summer I do remember that on weekends, the first bus of the morning interlined with the 96B to Finch with a short pause in Oshawa. Funny you mention the 68D, last June when they bustituted the Barrie line they put a D4500CT on one of the trips from Toronto and it had at least 10 people standing on the bus! Fortunately they were able to get a SuperLo after a bit, though.
Lost all old bus 2005 new flyer
I was on 4708 today.😅
I haven't been on that since last month. Have seen the new headsigns on the buses yet? They're weird.
