    Curved display...no...Camera module looks ugly...We want a flat display and S24ultra like camera module from 0P...Curved display is a matter of past. Touch sensitivity issue is there. Fixing a screen protector is a headache. 100 percent...we can't enjoy the multimedia contents in a curved display. Now a days all most all the premium smartphones r flat. Besides the camera module of OP looks ugly compared to the S24ultra.

    Such a great feeling to having a phone tracked it as it is shipped and then finally unboxing it and getting the phone all up and running. Usually I get a new phone in the Fall towards the holidays and it adds to the holiday feel. I will likely be getting a One Plus 12 with the most discounts I can find. I usually get good deals on phones because I do a bunch of researching before picking a phone. The One Plus 12 is a game changer in the phone world IMO but time will tell. These two phones, the One PLus 12r and 12, have a mixture of performance and price that should make Samsung, Google, and Apple nervous. The One Plus 12 has the same SOC as the Samsung Ultra 24 except Samsung orders their own variant with the clocks running slightly faster... however both phones with averaging perform about equal while hard tasking and they both throttle down about the same. In summary, you are paying about half price for a phone that performs close to the leading flagships. The fanboys are not happy LOL.

      @@NMalteCMe too, I'm still using my 65 watt charger, to but Fred is right, rhat MOST chargers are low power outside of the OnePlus world. Now keep mind the 65 watt charger is a bit of a perfect storm high point for chargers. For example it works fine computers charging at full speed including using on non OnePlus cables. But the new charger for the OnePlus 12 doesn't charge computers at even 65 watts. My wife's computer reports that it is low power. I also ordered the double port OnePlus charger and it isn't working as well using the mix of oneplus cables I've got. OnePlus sort of crossed a line with the new 100 watt chargers (I'm in Europe) they work correctly with OnePlus but might work with other devices, too. The 65 watt seemed to have fewer problems and it just worked. I appreciate having the chargers and all of the cables, but I don't want to involved my wife in trying to remember which cable to use.for her computer and Samsung phone. So my older 65 watt charger is making our lives easier for us (for her especially). Keep an eye on how the newer charger works for you and hopefully you'll get it to work optimally for you and maybe you will give us some hints on what we might avoid if you find any limitations.

    Im not sure if you can call these “copied features” if you consider that the iPad Pro from May 2017 had 120Hz and the 12" MacBook from early 2015 had USB-C already, followed by the 2016 MacBook Pro. I know this topic is about iPhones and Android phones but I can’t really get behind to say that Apple “copied” these features from Android even though Apple’s other products had it earlier already. The first android that had 120Hz was the “Razer Phone” released in November 2017. And the first android phone that had USB-C was sometime in 2015. What im basically trying to say is that Apple already knew about these kind of technology years before bringing them to the iPhone but they just didn’t and by the time they did android phones already had them. It’s pretty much unknown why Apple kept using lightning in their iPhones while having USB-C in their iPads and MacBooks and 120Hz in their iPads for years. So, did android phones have these features before the iPhone? Yeah. Did Apple “copy” these features _from_ android phones? No.

    • @anthonytech
      @anthonytech 29 дней назад

      In a way they still did I’m strictly talking about phones, not tablets or MacBooks. Yes Apple knew about the technologies at the time but per usual they wait forever to bring innovative features to the iPhone to stay competitive with android.

    In my opinion the problem with Apple and fast charging lies in how small capacity their batteries have. Take a look at Apple’s flagship 15 Pro - it has a battery estimated around 3300mah. That ain’t much for modern smartphones, the only way it works out to keep up with competition having such little capacity is software optimization of iOS and energy efficient SoC. But can we find a way to work around battery degradation? No. That’s why they stick to slow charging. Android phones with fast charging have 4500-5000mah batteries at average, that’s why negative side effects of fast charging in terms of battery degradation are not as bad as they could be with iPhone’s small batteries. Take a look at the current Samsung lineup - S24+ and Ultra support charging up to 45W, meanwhile basic S24 with its 4000mah battery stays limited to 25w. Why? Because low capacity batteries in S24’s might be due to replacement before the warranty runs out, as their performance out of the box is much lower compared to smartphones equipped with more capable energy storage. Going down to 80% condition could render such phone unusable, when 5000mah battery at the same level still has some gas to go. Apple was already accused of slowing down their older models to preserve battery life - I guess that’s why they play it safe with fast charging. Let’s be honest - most users are dumb. Even if Apple provided us fast charging option with a advice to use it only in case of emergency most people would just run it over and over again each day. By the way, I’m not defending Apple. It’s time to get some proper batteries in their products, their competition easily fits 4500/5000mah into devices with similar size.

    • @anthonytech

      Thanks for a good comment. You raise some fair points. I’ve always found a bit funny that when Apple brings a feature to the iPhone, that android has had for years people think it’s the best thing ever. There are solid rumors that iPhone 16 series will support 40w charging, that’s a nice increase. And now that the iPhone 15 pro models have the option to stop charging at 80% along with better charging optimizations they have those safeguards in place for those who are extra worried about battery longevity.

      Another thing to remember is standards like SuperVOOC have a completely different battery set up than what Apple uses in the iPhone to enable those fast charging speeds without heavily impacting the health of the battery.

    OnePlus 12 also doesn't come with the charger brick in the box Mine didn't come with one and its box was thinner than in the unboxing videos all over RUclips Even though i got it from an official seller Found that to be a bit weird and disappointing

      Did you purchase direct from OnePlus? It's suppose to come with a charger in the box If the box you received was thin and didn't include a charger I would be suspicious if it's a genuine device and if the seller is legitimate

      @@anthonytech yeah it's genuine, was told that's how they got it, oneplus seems to not include it in my region ( middle east ), and I heard they are doing the same in South East Asia, but the phone is great so far lol

      @@ezail9159 I always find it strange how companies tailor a device to different regions in the world. Nevertheless, glad you're enjoying the phone! Thanks for watching and commenting, it really does help. I thoroughly enjoy this little community of tech nerds that I am building :)

    13:50 that is because the USB A standard doesn't include more then 5 or maybe 10 watts... USBC on the other hand with Qualcom quick charge and/or power delivery can communicate with the "to be charged device" and agree on higher wattages and most importantly higher voltages keeping the hard to transmit current down ... Back in the day ONEPLUS used their own charging protocol. The gimmick there was that the phone wasn't heating up as much as others, because all the controlling the voltage for the battery happened in the brick... I don't know what the oppo charger does now though. But they ever since they also supported Qualcom quick charge and power delivery... Do your research my dude 😅 still nice video
