The Office - Andy Bernard & Stanley Sing Closing Time
In season 8 episode 6 of The Office Andy Bernard, the branch manager, tries to set a tradition of singing Closing Time in his branch at the end of the day, every day.
No one seems to be feeling it and some even find it grating and agitating. Andy seems defeated and dejected when no one participates except Erin Hannon.
Until the usually stoic and easily bothered Stanley comes into the office floor with a smile from ear to ear singing the lyrics.
Which surprises any fans watching the show, as it's incredibly out of character for him.
We find out later that he loves the song because ''that means we can go home''.
It doesn't matter to Andy, as you see his smile at the end. It's validation non the ...

You can see how visibly unsure Dwight is on how to comfort Pam, but how hard he's trying as well, My guess is he didn't get much of it growing up so he didn't completely know how :(. He's still doing it though <3
Apart from this scene being a very emotional moment between Pam and Dwight, "Who did this to you and where is he" part kills me every time.
Why was pam crying in this scene??
She tried being a good friend to Jim instead of tugging him to break up, and inadvertently motivated him to go one step further in his relationship with Karen.

I think the reason he took his jacket off and said it was ,"hot" was because this wasn't a common or natural feeling for him to have "empathy" Dwight needed Dunder Mifflin as much as Dunder Mifflin needed him to grow as a person ❤️

When he says "I know", it almost feels out of character, but in a good way. He's so sincere and compassionate with those words.

Dwight is the absolute best friend anyone needs. He hated Jim, but he cared about Pam so unconditionally. True friendship.

Bruh you can care and love a girl/woman without there being a crush or any other underlying meaning behind it.
This was the first time I actually liked Dwight as a person, and tried to ignore the terrible things he had said in the past lol. Since then, I started to really like his character.
I agree, the writers did a great job with his character arc. Idk if you've ever seen the UK version, but Gareth is their Dwight and he never seems to grow past the comedic nuisance type character. Not our Dwight, he grew very likable and endearing while still being a nuisance and comedic relief
@@matthewnickl9871 It's important to keep in mind though the original only lasted two seasons, while The Office got 8 whole years to grow. There isn't quite as much time for character development.
