As a 40 something muslim woman who has lived in a few countries and many cities, I found this book as relatable as I find the lives of women who have a deep intuition and fearless prowess into the unknown future, throughout history. There is no denying the strongest bonds between mother and child and probably the deepest bond between mother and daughter. This mystical umbilical bond interwoven into the very essence of our being, is a gift for all mothers and daughters from the Divine.

Jessica Bruder is a fraudulent person. She owes money for a taxi ride she took from Malibu to LAX. She’s extremely bad person who harassed our company and refused to pay for the ride ( basically disputing the payment after the service was provider in good faith ) She’s trying to vehicle a message of being a role model and teaching but in fact her character is misleading and fraudulent above all. Now you know how she behaves outsides the screen. I will not trust her.

Corky talks about seeing Gene Krupa. Seeing Corky with Mountain was equally as life altering. I immediately went out and bought a set of timbales. Years later I promoted a show with "Mountain" featuring Leslie and Corky in Ellsworth, Maine. The show was stellar. Best of all, Corky, Bill Zildgian and I stayed up all night at Finn's Pub and shared like family. Corky is more than a monster drummer and a rock star. He is a thinking and giving human being.

The Break is an extraordinary book. The pain is so deep and real it is unbearable and yet somehow the book soars above it all. More people need to read this book so we know what we are doing to each other.
