I just can't help myself with teh typhoons! haha! I have allergy meds, but they dont work all the time. My allergies are too severe. Those fangs were a necessary sacrifice to ensure victory. The Great Mech is pleased! I had definitly thought about putting shield on the Fort... but my Typhoon is too precious. haha! I greatly appreciate your feedback! Always a pleasure! ​@@craigpriestley7990 Feels a bit mean when I do the full step by step breakdown! Remember you're doing fine and I'm just looking for small edges to help smooth out your line of play. Plus please do recognise that everyone has their own playstyle that suits them and I'm far from the best player myself. Have dipped down below 1600 this week! So everything I say might be completely wrong if I've missed a higher level play myself. 40 Seconds in the "I hope that me hitting the mic stand with my can didn't come through on camera" face was priceless btw :P Agree that Mustangs are a little weak at the moment and suspect they'll remain that way as the devs try to ramp up Vulcans again. It's likely Vulcan's will gain a touch more range in the coming weeks imo seeing as +damage hasn't improved their usability but they might go down the path of improving their survivability instead. Round 1 Tabletop Mustang Aggro setup on the right is pretty much telegraphing Steelballs Turn 2 normally. If truly planning on sticking with Mustang Carry it might be worth taking the tower +10% ATK on Round 1 if you don't want to spend the extra money on units here and now but it's a bit niche and only because we're expecting to rely on Mustangs long term. Round 2 I'd take the Typhoon or Rhino here. You can buy two more Typhoons by selling one unit of Mustangs or just straight buy 2 more Rhinos if thats the path you prefer. Typhoon is much more reliable than Mustang and scales incredibly with levels on it's Missiles and Shields so getting them early is great. Personal preference though, I do often get burned experimenting with new units and tech choices! You correctly identify that you're lacking front line in your commentary and planned ahead with the Scorpion unlock which I really like. Love grabbing Scorpions before they appear on the free unit cards to deny them to my opponent, even if I only end up buying two over the whole game the power of denial is huge and people are really relying on them at the moment. Round 3 think your Scorpions are a touch too far forward and will likely need Fangs in front of them to protect them from the Overlord, Phoenix or MP response late in the game. You never want your carry being at risk of being hit by it's counter as soon as the round starts. But again I'm rather cautious with my Scorpions and don't play a lot of aggro so if you see top table players using this positioning with Scorpions successfully feel free to ignore me here! Round 4 Range on the Mustangs does a lot for you in terms of keeping them safe from the Vulcan and letting them open fire sooner, it'll force your opponent to take Range on their Vulcans. The Mustang damage output is still light until they get levels, items or +ATK tower upgrades but at least now they aren't dying for free and can clear chaff for the Scorpions while also acting as a chaff screen for them themselves. Round 5 the Fangs between your Scorpion and the MP facing off against it is great. Was surprised your opponent didn't take Range on their Arclights as a response to the Mustang + Scorpion pressure, felt like a lost opportunity for them to clear your chaff more safely and they were lacking depth in chaff themselves. Round 6 Storm was bold, I like it, good tempo and extra pressure on your opponent but was a huge investment. The Crawlers probably wanted to be behind the Rhino. Maybe needed to be an Elite level 2 Rhino if you wanted to burst through to the tower with those Phoenixes waiting for you behind it. Round 7 "behind the Rhino" turned into "with the Rhino" pretty quickly :D AoE on the Mustangs for improved chaff clear makes sense in isolation but your opponent isn't really playing much Chaff and you're expecting extra Giants this turn so I'd argue AP Bullets might've been stronger here. Running out of time happens to us all but should defo be avoided where possible! Would always take Tower upgrades for +ATK before speculative missiles unless I'm aiming for a tempo kill, which I think you are but forgot to explain to the viewer while under time pressure, it happens! Round 8 really like the Mobile Beacon play to exploit the distracted Typhoon plan. Early tower snipe wins the game for aggro nine times out of ten! Post match discussion: The Wasps did great work for you earning you the tempo kill just when you needed it. The Range on your Scorpions won you the game but versus his right side later on I'd consider EMP Stormcallers as he's gone 2x tech on the MPs and Typhoons and doesn't have much Chaff to protect them just shields. Think you'd need to reflect on the AoE Mustang upgrade not being great value post match - I'd expect you to have noticed that two weeks ago, your analysis was totally on point then! Every tech needs to have a purpose and value, even a single incorrect tech choice can cost you a close game and it's the easiest area to improve on in the middle MMRs. Hope that all helped dude! Remember I'm not the best myself so if you can reason out why your line was stronger then by all means still with your gut. Keep it up, we're due a rematch in a coming tourney I can feel it!

Had to work tonight so i did not catch the eclipse! But I did notice it get very very dark... haha! I was always a little concerned with the EMP. Probably should have had a backup plan, just in case. Fire Badgers certainly came in at the right time, very lucky unit drop as I was already considering Vulcan. As always I appreciate the feedback! This is how we learn and grow. I had considered MPs in my mind at the time. There are only so many seconds to talk and think! I find this is a game very difficult for me to articulate every thought.

@@VariableXGaming Yeah you're doing great though. Totally get where you're coming from, some games I talk too fast because I'm thinking too fast - and it makes it hard to watch for me in retrospect. It's really difficult to balance all the options and choices whilst talking folks watching through the important stuff and filtering through the less important stuff. But at the same time I find vocalising my thought process and trying to explain it helps me play better. There is a balance to be had though, every round I'm asking myself "How do I win? And how do I lose?" but I can't keep saying the same thing every round or it'll get dull for the people watching! Instead I'm trying to create a narrative which covers the important beats and interesting things I noticed as I was bumbling along and sometimes I'll include the more crazy ideas and connections in sound-over edits like the TF2 Sniper's death cries or "Battle Ship Operational!" voice line from Starcraft. When the battles start I go into cheerleader mode and just cheer my units along and try to highlight where I think the important moments in a battle will be. It's really hard on losses though because internally I'm kicking myself for not thinking of x, y or z that could've won it for me! Think you balanced it really well here and it'll just get easier with practise, keep going! I suggest watching a few different Mechabellum youtubers and decide which styles and quirks work best for you, and don't stress too much - as long as you're having fun it'll come through on the videos! @@Drone_101 A lot to take in there! I really appreciate the thoughtful comments. I will certainly keep at it! From my previous time streaming and playing MTG i find that narrating my thoughts helps me play as well. That's one of the reasons I started streaming.

It is one I use frequently when towers are exposed. If the towers are not leveled, the birds will take down both of them!

@@VariableXGaming All good, it technically is a slightly "bigger" shield by bubble size. If you look at it compared to the Forts next to it, it's about 10% larger diameter hitbox. The general rule of thumb for equippable items is if they do the same role as a technology they won't stack, lifesteal items nor regen items will stack with a technology offering the same bonus. The advantage equippable items has is that EMP doesn't disable them but it's a pretty minor advantage. Keep up the good work!
