Reliving other memories - Original music
Time for reflection always brings on thoughts of the past. It's Thanksgiving weekend in Canada, so it's always good to reflect on the things that we're thankful for. One of those things would be great friends, like someone loaning me the Fender None More Black strat that I used for all of the guitar parts on this track. It's a very cool guitar with a very articulate, snappy sound. Visuals came from a roof top during the sun rising.

Some original ambient music for your enjoyment. Music was inspired by the visuals. There's a great section of Bruce County Road 20, just North of Highway 9 that starts off with a cool little S curve and I enjoy driving through it every time. That's where the visuals come from here. Here's a nice simple jam along track. I'm saying the key is F#m but any key that would have D as a major chord would not also have B as a major chord. Tempo is 148, however it goes back and forth between in tempo and half time. The chord change speed changes a couple of times as well. #petelamontmusic #backingtrack #jamtrack Leave in the comments what other keys or styles you would like to see....

    I Get Around by the Beach Boys has a very distinctive, not regular bass sound. It has a regular bass playing underneath, but I think this distinctive sound that makes the opening note is from a Danelectro 6-string bass. I can't find the words to describe the sound, but I didn't hear it in your demo. Do you know how to get that sound?

    • @petelamontmusic
      @petelamontmusic 3 дня назад

      So many of the Beach Boys songs were done with the Wall of Sound production concept, so the bass line was played by a Bass VI, another electric bass, an upright bass or two, the left hand of at least one piano and sometimes also a tuba or bari sax. So, it makes it hard to get that sound with one instrument.
