Useless without timestamps.
Stupid
Time to do an update
I have looked for information on this case over the years . I was 10 at that time about 2yrs after her murder I would babysit for a woman here in Delco who told me all of what she knew about this case and now today we are learning this creep was arrested!!! Gretchen RIP sweet girl !!!
My aunt Becky was talking about this in church today.
Wonder how these folks are doing now?
Is this marple newtown in delaware county?
Yes
Grew up in the Ashland section of CH (1977-1989) graduated from CHHSE 1982. So glad my folks moved from SW Philly when I was 13 to Cherry Hill, love them for that and many other things. They live in Delaware now lol
WOW, why no people of color in the mall WOW
Hey was that a BRAND NEW Cherry Hill High School East? lol
no that opened in the early 70's
Garden State Park now exists on the site of the old racetrack, featuring Cheesecake Factory, Brio, Wegman's, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, & Home Depot.
Soooo cool! Thanks for the memories 👍👋
2012 cherry hill
This was like traveling in a time machine. Route 38 seemed a lot more spacious in 1970. It was awesome to see the old Cherry Hill Inn, which is now Cadbury - an assisted living facility.
Damn this dude couldn’t keep his eyes of the screen Lmaoo
@8:21 I was like, 'WTF?"
@8:17 Kids are like, "WTF?"
Cherry Hill , Beautiful Town , Place and kindly lovely People I was Here and Thank s for everythings
There's no cherry trees there. And no houses! Where did the kids come from? The #6 Federal bus from Camden?
If whoever shot these videos knew that 50 years later some complete strangers would be watching them, he might have held the camera steadier, panned slower, and focused better. Were these originally 8 millimeter?
The woman who gave this to me was in middle school when she and a friend shot this video. It was for a school project.
Great video. My family lived there for 40 years.
So cool to see
Back in the Day!!! How cool it was!!
I saw the race track burn down. That was the largest fire I have ever seen. You could feel the heat from the flames from you car.
I remember it, too. 1977. We lived in the Kingston Estates section & the smoke was billowing over our house- wind was easterly that day. Cherry Hill & South Jersey have changed WAY TOO MUCH since that time. I left for Sussex County, DE in '09...
I was playing baseball in Maple Shade and saw it burning
I think the white house with green trim at the end of the video was my dentist office.
I will be 50 next year and lived near Cherry Hill my whole life. I remember almost all of the sites on this video, so cool!
Why are some of those things better then than now, also I bet they don’t have lead in there water
D-10 is my Study Skills room
Same it was for 3 years
How time flies.
wish it stayed the same !!! it was a nice place to live now the traffic and all the building destroyed a wonderful nice town .......
Cherry Hill WTF happen?
WTF happen to Cherry Hill? They were use to be beautiful farm lands and not to much of industrial. Now look at it today.....
Damn thats cool
Going back in time
Yeah I live in Cherry Hill and I pass by this school every day
@@aa_0n711 Aswell I live in Cherry Hill and I use to went to this school. This is some ancient stuff right here.
Damn I live here
I saw Cherry Hill Library and West High School. Where's Ellisburg Circle ;-) I grew up and spent nearly 40 years in Cherry Hill before moving to the Midwest. Nice area but I love the Midwest more believe it or not. I lived on the East by Cooper School side but went to Eustace. Somebody have a hoagie or a cheese steak for me at Big John's.
Elisburg Circle is at the intersection of Route 70 and 41
Taylor the narrator for this program your grandfather John Raleigh was a staff announcer for WFIL TV in the early days of tv from the 1950s till 1971 when he retired or left after channel 6 was sold to cap cities and became WPVI TV and dropped most staff announcers except for Paul Norton. he also worked at WFIL RADIO both am and FM as an announcer newscaster host during that time too and all were owned by Triangle Publication which also owned tv guide at one time.
Whoa that's my grandad he died before I was born and I've never heard his voice. Very cool to listen to him also very weird haha
with due respect he looks like a tough guy a mobster
I grew up in Cherry Hill and looking back at this film reminded why I hated living there so much. Left when I graduated East and never looked back. The town is an over crowded mess.
"8 minutes away from the heart of Philadelphia." LOL. (maybe by Jet aircraft) It takes that long just to get across either of the bridges anymore.
All of the pictures are recognizable today, except for the Church Road Fire company. Isn't that where TD Bank is now? Great film! Lots of memories!
its really sad how beautiful this town was !! nothing but traffic high taxes and construction has a ruined a beautiful area !!!!!!!!!
Yes there's parts of New Jersey that not so great but that's true about every state in the Union. Personally I love Cherry Hill New Jersey.
Bit of old Colestown Cemetery in there, too. In light of what Cherry Hill has become, Lower, Slower Delaware is now more my speed, or meth, as some down here would have it.
i have always thought of what garden state park would look like since there is now a shopping mall there and it's impressive. And west looks the same.
Cool video...I grew up in cherry hill and remember lots of this footage. Was cool seeing the cherry hill inn,Woolworth's,and of course the racetrack. Forgot bout the old rca building where Lowe's now stands. Sucks as a life long resident I don't go to Lowe's or the mall on the weekends due to the fact that 3/4 of Camden migrates there on weekends.
sure wish they showed joseph hinchman school where i went from k threw 6 grade 1965 to 1970
It no longer exists as an Elementary School as explained in the following excerpt. "Shermark Partnership, is completing its own conversion: that of the former Hinchman Elementary School in Cherry Hill into the 150-bed Cherry Hill Convalescent Center. The company bought the school on Chapel Avenue for $935,000 and has spent $4 million more on renovations. In the process, classrooms have become double bedrooms and the multipurpose room has been developed into a kitchen and dining room. An outdoor tot lot, picnic grove and walking trails have been retained, though. We're probably the only nursing home in the state of New Jersey with a stage, Scherfel laughed." Really a blast from the past -- the original race track, the Rickshaw Inn, Bamberger's and Harvest House cafeteria at the Mall, the Hospital and Cherry Hill West High School before their expansions. I would have added the Latin Casino and definitely the Hawaiian Cottage, but still it's not exactly video I could run out and get today.
I think the first few seconds is the old library too
Yes, the Latin Casino on Route 70 would have been great to see. It was replaced by Subaru headquarters and now nothing. Subaru moved to Camden.
Greetings! I have been searching everywhere for pictures of Camden County Music Fair. As a member of the Cosmic Camden Crew, the peeps who crewed or other wise worked there, I will be eternally grateful to anyone who can provide picture of the now defunct Camden County Music Fair.
The Arcadia Publishing hometown series edition of Cherry Hill features a photo of the Camden County Music Fair. The photo shows a small sign that touts upcoming acts- soon to appear were The Turtles & The Spencer Davis Group. My parents saw either Duke Ellington or Count Basie there as well....😎
this is hysterical!
I was in first grade when this was done. Brings back memories.
