Hey, so i spoke to Zach you are right - it doesn't have a feature to deliver a CFN template that can be used to setup Athena. BUT if you can comment on here your company name i can add you to the feature request for this! The workaround: This means you need to set it up "manually", but fortunately this is quite easy to do with AWS Glue: Create an export of CUR 2.0 in the Parquet format and with the overwrite file delivery preference. (Athena has some benefits with Parquet and overwrite is required so that data doesn't appear twice in Athena). In Athena, use the notebook editor with Trino SQL and click "Create" to create a table with "AWS Glue Crawler". Using the Glue crawler workflow, point the glue crawler to run on the s3://<bucket-name>/<prefix>/<export-name>/data folder to automatically load all of the delivered partitions for the specified export to Athena After the glue crawler is complete, you can use Athena to write queries on the table created by the glue crawler.

@@TheKeystoAWSOptimization one would be to allow the creation of billing groups within a single account. This would be helpful for companies that allow different business units to have resources in the same account. We did this with our first and oldest account before we started to create dedicated accounts for each business group.

@@TheKeystoAWSOptimization just to clarify what I mean. I think it would be helpful if it would be possible to create a billing group and add resources based on the value of a tag. For example: create a BG and add resources that have a group tag with the value of “Finance”

Hey, so we are not 100% sure. But, if the cost explorer part of it at the top works as in commercial regions. Then, the rest of the dashboard should work ok, as dashboards are supported in GovCloud and the rest of the dashboard relies on CloudWatch usage metrics that are emitted in all region

There was not intention to use it as ‘clickbait’ so I am sorry you feel that way. I hope you will still able to get some insight or ideas from the video

@@TheKeystoAWSOptimization I understand that this term is used by someone in industry, but it doesn't mean that it should be used lightly or overall when it can be replaced with some other forms or word constructions. For example instead of "The Power of Evangelising FinOp" title could be something like "Raising awareness about FinOps in your organization" or something like this. With "The Power of Evangelising FinOp" i can imagine hypothetical fiction situation about person who preach (like in real church) about FinOps nonstop in company and at the street, giving people posters/printed booklets to people that pass by near him 🙂 I know it's somewhat "extreme" example - but yeah 🙂 PS. ‘clickbait’ was probably wrong or not correct word to use in this case by me, now i understand this.

@@TheKeystoAWSOptimization about video itself - it was hard to follow. Videos that are posted in your RUclips channel doesn't have chapters (i had to tap-tap-tap to rewind 15-30 seconds or even more to land on something. Also videos doesn't have like first slide with structured agenda or topics that will be discussed - this is also somewhat making videos less user-friendly as i cannot see from description or from first slides what topics are going to be discussed. If you could add some agenda topics in first slides, or just to add 1 slide with agenda and add agenda items in description of the video - it would be awesome. Having "chapters" with time codes will give ability viewers to jump to some specific time to watch topics that are more/most interesting. I mean even if video is packed with super useful advices - without agenda or without knowing which exactly topics are going to be discussed -> potential viewer will potentially will skip your video. PS. Also 1 slide in the end of the video with recap would be good to have too. It will allow to summarize: "In this episode we've talked about X, Y, Z. We've discussed how to do X, Y, Z".
