I believe scorpio did all that with stock tires and without differential lock. The torque pulled that boy out with other big boys with eaz. wasnt honestly expecting this good show.

Mahindra always feels underpowered during Hill climb. If we see other videos of Mahindra hill climbs,it's the same, struggling to climb. Is Mahindra having all the wrong drivers in all the videos ? But when we see some Australian reviews, all supporting Mahindra. Is it a conspiracy?
No.... this is because of not much powerful engine which are offered by Toyota or Nissan. If mahindra alturas g4(ssangyong rexton) it doesn't struggle because it have a powerful engine developed by mahindra and ssangyong collectively

Is it ok..? My friend told me to get one but iam not sure of its power. Please advice on your thought. Thanks

Maximum power-140 hp @ 3750 rpm 2..Maximum torque-319Nm @ 1500-2800 rpm 3..Engine cc-2179 4..milage-15-16 km/l (avg) 5..Engine life-it can need major overhaul on 350000-400000 km (all these things I have mentioned on the basis of scorpio which is in India) yaa you can go for it if u have have a limited budget near this prize segment its engine is a little less powerful then hilux (I m not sure) its top variant s11 is almost exceptional with extra originary performance if u have very good budget then u can go for land cruiser also but I m not seeing any competitor who can match this trust along with the prize

Wrong driver with Mahindra
That Mahindra is a diesel. Diesel engines are meant to be driven at low rpm since that's where most of the power/torque band is. Poor driving ability

Nice 1. 2 days back I went to 1 swampy area where I had turned several times at night. When I saw the area during the day I said "How on earth did my Disco manage to exit this swamp?" I reversed in fear and told myself never to drive into that corner again Any idea what causes Transmission Fault message to pop on the display?

FJ Cruiser killed it, hands done!! Mahindra needed a better driver. Gimny didn't have the right tyres and pressure.
What's the dest setting for sand?
Best setting is tyre pressures of 1bar. Sand mode setting. Semi-auto gearbox locked in 2nd gear. DSC switched off. Enjoy the trip.

It does
Please correct me if I'm wrong. Would a more steady throttle not have helped with the Mahindra to give the Traction Control a chance to work? It seems like he was playing with the throttle and that would reset the TC the whole time and explain why he could not get traction? Or was it just the wrong tyres and tyre pressures?
Definitely, Tires play a major role in off-road traction.

Disco isn't dead
Wouldn't a Disco 2, which has a diff lock, be better? I've heard the Disco 3 doesn't have one.
You've heard wrong. All Disco 3's do have a low range with central diff lock and also rear diff lock as an optional on some vehicles. Some 2014+ Disco 4 do not have them. They have to be ordered with.
Disco 3 out performs the 2 by a large margin.

Still making videos. No reliability problems. Still going like a train. Covid slowed the number of outings we could go on but the videos will start again soon.
Hey sir, do you consider making a long term ownership review of your Disco 3? Interior, exterior, upgrades, reliability, everything... it could be very interesting... I love that car and I expect to own one someday.

The camera should outside of the vehicle all the time... it could be more exciting to watch... but I loved the video anyway... I am a big fan of the Disco 3 Hugs from Mozambique...

Great vehicle, I love it so much despite its reliability issues. But what is your ownership experience with that disco 3?
I had a 2007 TdV6 S; no mechanical or electrical issues. It had 240 000km on the clock.
I am on 345,000km and no reliability issues to date other than having to replace my alternator. Doing regular preventative servicing and replacing ageing parts prevents breakdowns. Service at Land Rover themselves and you will reduce the problems spoken about by 90%.
