31 Two Men, One Teacher, Two Choices
The differences of Peter and Judas surrounding the "last supper" have always been fascinating to Bible students. So much promise with both of them, and yet they fell. But what they did next made all the difference.

The Adversaries of God's People #3

This lesson conlcudes the discussion of Ezra 4-6. The enemies of Israel stopped the building of the temple after the exiled people returned home. God's people have definite enemies today that they must defeat if they're going to grow!
"The End of All Things"
Просмотров 327 часов назад
In 1 Peter 4:7-11, Peter said that “the end of all things is at hand.” He then gave several admonitions as to how Christians should live. In short, there’s an overtone of selflessness that’s present in each of his instructions.
Jesus Is the Master

Luke uses a special word in his gospel for Jesus. It’s “Master”. It means master in charge or one who has the right to give orders. We listen to Him, not because He’s meek and compassionate, but because He has all authority.

Our Ways of Escape

The Israelites were noteworthy examples for the Corinthian Christians. But not for a good reason. However, they do help us understand how God provides power to withstand the temptation of sin.
Let's Change Your Life

In Acts 26, Paul recounted how his life had been changed by his obedience to the gospel. Christians can get derailed from growing as they should and need edifying. But the important fact to remember is that Paul’s story can be your story.
19 What Is the Mark of the Beast?

Revelation 13-15 speaks of a "mark of the beast" that so many people have distorted and deceived others with. The answer may be much more simple than you thought. Watch as Jim explains the meaning of this phrase!

18 What Is the Abomination of Desolation?
Romans 3:10 "there is none righteous, not even one..." Ephesians 2:1 "and you were dead in the trespasses and sin..." Don't try to interpret scripture to what you want it to mean. That said, God is sovereign and good, full of grace. If it is his will all those babies are in heaven with him. But we won't know until we are there. God bless.
A valid point is that we can know because God made man upright and without sin. He then began at some point in his young life to sin, and when that happens, one is lost and will experience spiritual death unless they are redeemed by the blood of Christ. Thank you for commenting

@@loop287churchofchrist S & G were destroyed by God but he left no evidence for later generations to see (like all the other stories, Noah's Ark, Jericho, Manna, etc.), why hide it from us? Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt in the only place where they occur naturally. Jesus walked on water and raised people from the dead but yet no 3rd party verification of these miracles, wouldn't God want it to be published and seen by as many people as possible? Roman soldiers wrote letters and we still have them yet they never speak of the bible, older civilizations have clay tablets that record trivia but yet they say nothing found in the Bible. Pharaoh and his army were destroyed (and the plagues) and no recorded verification of it much less chariots in the red sea (maybe one or two over the years). Sure maybe the Egyptians didn't want to record it (unlikely) but the surrounding enemies would have, much less take advantage of the situation and recorded it. The Nile farm land is a prize they would have taken or tried to but no evidence exists. 2000+ years and God only provides a book of letters we have no knowledge of who wrote them. M, M, L, and John were written 20 years apart, in that order, by unknown authors, and with each release the stories became more fantastic (also no first hand accounts). So it took God 80-100 years and each letter contradicts the others in many instances (so God is not perfect). The corner stone of Christianity is one scripture, John 3:16, why did it take 80-100 years to get this on paper and 400 years to ratify the NT? I was brainwashed and it takes years after you put away thinking in religious terms to accept that religion is just wishful thinking (show me proof someone in the Amazon rain forest could understand). Death doesn't care what we believe and all we have to do to prove our stories is to die - how convenient. Where is this big bad boogie man Satan you are so afraid of? Every interview I'm watched of Satan worshipers have said they have no communication with the spirit realm. 20 years ago I would have even dared to say such a thing but it is a strange realization to accept there is no boogie man. I believe there is a God but I have no idea why he created this death machine. I do know a god would not go to all this effort for me to get on my knees for a magic cracker, listening to idiots wave snakes and preach literal gibberish.
Love this lesson . Thank u brother Kyle.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amen 🙏 ❤🙏
Very nice lesson brother!..
Glad you liked it!
Thank you very much brother Jim for this very enteristing lesson.
Thanks for listening, Efren!
Thank you brother Kyle for this interesting and beautiful lesson.
My pleasure!
Jesus came to earth to clean up the mess of his father, so he did some tricks, organised the first gay organisation and then he realised that nobody could clean up the mess of his father so he said bye bye and went home. Now 2000 years later there are still idiots that believe all that nonsense. When there would be an almighty god, there wouldn't be all those problems.
Thank you brother for such encouraging teachings keep up the good work in Christ.
Thank you, Patrick!
You are lying and teaching deception. You must be a lying Roman Empire Trinitarian.

Old Testament is the Revelation of the one true God His Omnipresents ,Omniscience and His Omnipotents.
I must tell you I like the way you explain it. Straight up to the point. Keep it brief. That’s my learning disability kicking into overdrive. It’s easier to be taught in short stories. Thanks!
You’re very welcome!
The old testament could even predict future happenings and allot is happening Allong with the book of revalation
I love this topic!.. Thank you very much brother Jim! ..
Thanks for listening!
Well explained
Thanks Patrick!
The Old Testament helped me understand the New Testament.
It definitely does!
Grown adults who have a boat load of ridiculous claims that they could never hope to demonstrate to be true, pretending to be revealing the logical fallacies of others.
The Bible is a logical book. It can, however, be used illogically. When it is, people can be lead into error.
@@loop287churchofchrist The bible is a thoroughly ridiculous book. The stories are clearly written by people who knew next to nothing about the natural world, who were bigoted and violent, and who had a very, very low opinion of humanity...to the point of being dangerous, and anti-human.
The Bible does a pretty good job of showing that it was written by individuals to whom God had given a message. It might be a "ridiculous" message to some, with "dangerous" and "anti-human" elements, but to those who know and study, it's a reasonable and rational explanation of the origin of the Universe and the purpose of mankind on the Earth.
@@loop287churchofchrist The bible may make sense to somebody who is ignorant of science, but to somebody who knows a thing or two about astronomy, biology, and geology...the bible is demonstrably false, and downright childish.

Explain The Saviour's words in Matthew 5:17-19 (KJV)
Jesus spoke of the law being "fulfilled" or "accomplished" in Matthew 5:18. The reason the Old Testament is "gone" is because it's fulfilled. It finished its purpose. When Jesus died on the cross, He became the mediator of a new covenant, a better one (Hebrews 8:6).
GOD IS GREAT EVERYDAY AND EVERY MINUTE, EVERY HOUR, EVERY SECOND, EVERY YEAR!!!!!!!
I would like to speak publicly because the Lord is leading me. There are still scriptures in the old Testament that’s still applied today. It’s like how someone says since Jesus came and he paid the price. We’re not held by the commandments we are still held to that, but it’s he who paid the price. Think for a minute, why would God remove everything from the Old Testament if there’s still something good within it? There are still things in the Old Testament that still apply today do not harm my anointed nor my prophets. If there’s one thing I do see that you do need to go to the Lord about is this you want to seek to follow everything that is written down in the book which is the Bible his word? But there are some things in the Bible that don’t explain what we have today and if it’s not in the Bible, you won’t do anything so my first request is that you don’t put God in a box. That’s all I’m saying man. God bless you.
You are correct! There is good in the Old Testament! The next short will address this!

😂 Are you serious ?
The person who posted on Reddit was certainly serious. Hence, the reason for the video.
Paul was never a christian - Philippians 3: 3-6" though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath grounds to trust in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee; 6 concerning zeal, persecuting the church; as to the righteousness before the law, blameless". Where does the Bible says he was a christian? FYI, christianity was founded as a RELIGION from year 200ad on, long after Paul died. Also FYI, the Bible speaks of no religion.
You know...I've seen alot of "I" from the Apostle...when the Christ made it clear, there is no "I" when following HIM. They all still jostled for position & power...they had Faith, absolutely...John was thrown into a fiery boiling pot of oil, walked out unharmed & converted the ENTIRE COLISEUM, why he was exiled to the island of Patmos...but many of them still didn't understand HIM.
Paul became a Christian when he was baptized into Christ (Acts 22:16). And the Bible does speak of "pure and undefiled religion" (James 1:27), which we should all be a part of.
❤ Beautiful topic brother!
Thanks for listening!
❤❤❤This topic is a wonderful and very interesting brother Jim!...
Glad you think so!
Very nice topic brother Kyle
Thank you kindly!
Very encouraging brother good work!!
I appreciate that!
"Breaking bread" means to eat something together with others. It does not automatically entail a eucharist.
You are correct. Context is used to determine what is meant. For instance, in Acts 2:42, the "breaking of bread" was included in other parts of corporate worship. However, "breaking bread" in v. 46 is a part of what they did daily. In those occasions of corporate worship, the "breaking of bread" was done every Sunday as a part of the early disciples' worship to God.
❤❤❤Thank you very much brother Jim for this very interesting beautiful topic!
You are very welcome!
I’m lost on the once save always ..can a man struggle with sin but what if his heart is after righteousness and he trying to please GOD and wrestle the sin..one minute he falls but he still trust GOD and ask for forgiveness..i don’t believe in a sinless perfection. So can a person struggle with sin and still be considered save.
A person can struggle with sin, but through the power of the gospel, along with true repentance, someone can overcome a habitual life of sin. When there are occasions of falling to temptation, God will forgive us (1 John 1:8-10). The Old Testament was a law that required perfection, which no one could do. The Israelites learned the necessity of grace which would come along in the New Testament, a testament of which we live under if we are redeemed in Christ. Blessings to you.
Struggling and practicing are not the same thing. None of us are exempt from the struggle. Making it a practice is something different, that's will full. If once saved always saved were true, then Jeremiah 17:9 would mean nothing when it says that our hearts are treacherous and desperate. That wasn't part of God's mosaic law. That was a statement of fact about the condition of the human heart. That's why Zephaniah 2:3 says probably you might be saved. That probably isn't on God, he's faithful and true. Probably applied to us and our treacherous hearts. Paul struggled. Read Romans 7 and 8. He was victorious. He did not practice sin but fought against it. He never gave up that we know of, it wasn't recorded at least.
