Guided Fishing Trips
Guided Fishing Trips are a great way to get out on the water and enjoy a fun day catching fish. If you're new to fishing, in a new town for a few days, or looking to learn a new piece of water, a guided fishing trip is a great place to start.
Montana Fishing Guides is your hook-up to a fun day on the water. We supply all the equipment, rods, flies, and tackle, lunches are included on full days, snacks, and beverages on half-day trips. We do guided fishing trips year-round, fly fishing, and spin fishing. Our guides are fun to fish with, hard-working, and very patient. We take new anglers all the time, so teaching is nothing new to us.

Montana Fishing Report, Fall 2024 has been amazing! I can't believe the weather we've had the last 2 months! Flathead River, Clark Fork River, Blackfoot River, and the Missouri River are all fishing great right now. Weather changes are fast approaching and old man winter is creeping in. The fishing will still be solid for another month or 2 in the Flathead Valley. Trout, lake Superior Whitefish...
Montana Fishing Report, Late September
Просмотров 83Месяц назад
Montana Fishing Report, Late September is really great right now! We are having pretty amazing weather, and we'll keep having it for the next 10-12 days. Not only is the weather amazing so is the fishing! The Flathead River is fishing great right now. Mostly dry flies, Purple haze, and parachute adams are all you need. The Clark Fork is great right now too. Fish run a bit bigger and we typicall...
Clark Fork River Fly Fishing
Просмотров 1062 месяца назад
Clark Fork River Fly Fishing was great in August this year. It was pretty warm out but the fishing was solid. Early morning starts, in the dark, and off the water by 12-1:00 was where it was at. Get out while the water is coldest and off before the temps peak, which is best for the fish. Keep them wet and back in the water. Hoppers and mayflies were the most productive mayflies with worms and g...

Missouri River Fishing Report May 2024, the Missouri River has been great all of may. Flows started below average and we are now runnig at 6000CFS. Water temps peaked at 54 today. PMD's are popping riverwide and good dry fly fishing is only a few days away... If the unrelenting wind dies down. Nymphing is solid and we are seeing some great rainbows in 2-3' of fast water. Sow bugs still rule wit...

Montana fly fishing report May 1-15, has been a great May. The first half of the May had some pretty interesting weather. Cold, snow, rain and more snow... All this has helped our high country snow pack. The fishing has been very good on the Missouri, Blackfoot and the Flathead Rivers. I'm going to have to keep this video short as I have to get ready for my trip tomorrow. Enjoy the video and tu...

The Flathead River is still in fishable shape but will be blowing out with runoff any day now. The local lakes are fishing great for pike, grayling and ...
Midge Fly Patterns
Просмотров 1146 месяцев назад
Midge fly patterns are often overlooked by fly anglers. Midges are the most common aquatic insect we have in rivers. They're everywhere.. Winter through the dog days of August they play an important role. Lately midge activity has been very prolific on the Missouri River. Not so much nymphing but fishing dry flies. Fish have been chowing singles and clusters. While most are fishing clusters, Gr...

CDC Caddis Dry Fly
Просмотров 627 месяцев назад
CDC Caddis Dry Fly is one of my favorites when I'm fishing for picky trout eating caddis. The Hackle Stacker CDC Caddis rides low in the water and floats a bit longer due to the hackle stacker. You can fish this in flat water and in the riffles. We all know trout love to eat caddis! I'll fish this fly even in mayfly hatches. Caddis are typically on the water early in the morning and at the end ...
What a sweet Brownie!! Congrats!!
Very nice, what kind of hackle did you use for the body?
Thanks! I'm pretty sure it was Hareline or Whiting Farms saddle hackle. Pretty much any saddle hackle would work great. I like to make sure that the feather fibers are long and soft.
Thank you so much@@montanafishingguides
Nice flies big dog 🤙
I used this fly on the Bitteroot last summer for Westslope Cutts... Fun day on the water. Thanks, now I know how to tie it.
shhhhhhh… 🤫
Hi, I am going to visit Whitefish, I see trout, white fish and walleye. Is it hard to catch over there? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Het there! We do lots of trips for trout and lake trout in this area. The fishing is good right now through summer. You can reach out via my website and send an inquiry and I'll give you a call. Killer pattern, horrible music.
Nice one
Nice one thanks
Great pattern!
Nice one
Nice fly other than the fact that the marabou isn’t olive LOL 😂 😝
Is the peacock mixed with the fusion or are the applied separately? Nice tie
It's mixed in with the fusion
nice
No way y’all did not see that man
He's part ninja
NICE!
Smart way
Why don't people pay more attention to this??
good evening~you created well trip, 🔥
Bro got that mountain dew water

Great bunch of guides. Fun to fish with!
The sound is annoying.
This chubby really helps the ecstasy kick in
Much better when you mute it! 😀
Nice looking fly. Very buggy looking
Thank you sir!
They say trout don't even like the colour purple 💜😐
Love to tie and fish this pattern. Very nice work
Thanks! It's a great pattern!
Nice chernobyl!
Looks like some good times!!
The Flathead ❤ Finest river in the country.
that hook gap tho. hogcatcher for sure. I did some like this in black with peacock body but used a small yellow indicator instead of the wing. that's a nice trick with the poly wing. I need to grind some of these out.
Fly tying was OK a little fast maybe especially during the material description and identification part. BUT Absolutely HATE the music.
That’s such a small icehole.
THis was 1 of the 2 most productive nymphs we used on the Mo' and Madison in June '21. But after some use, I saw that it looked an awful lot like a Shop Vac.
awesome job guys !
The video was great but the music not so good
😂😂😂
nice simple fly; thanks for posting.
I have the River Road Chernobyl Cutter Set, but the smallest is 10 - 12. Can you tell me which specific cutter was used for tying these 14 Chernobyl's? Thanks
Thank you so much for posting. This fly was recommended to me by someone in the know, and I'm thrilled to learn how to tie it.
This is a great fly on the Missouri River. Let me know how it goes!
@@montanafishingguides Craig, MO here I come. I really am grateful you posted this video--Thanks again!
Clever trick with the wing/indicator. The video is the anti one hour blah blah for a 10 minute fly. Keep that up and you’ll have 10,000 subscribers. And a nice little pattern. All the best.
Thanks for the feedback! Been crazy busy guiding so my tying videos have suffered. I'll try to keep them coming
What seat is that?
It was custom made by adipose boat works. Very comfortable
Love a quick tie of an effective fly - please do more of these!
Thanks for the feedback! I've been busy guiding so my tying videos are suffering. Sorry for hte delay on the videos but I'll do my best to keep them coming
Looks like a fish catcher
It get's them!
Not being a guide myself I must say I truly appreciate to hard work and dedication every guide I’ve had the privilege of fishing with over the years has taken to provide a great experience. Some days fished better than others but every trip enjoyable non the less. Stay safe and here,s to this pandemic ending soon.
I appreciate that!
Some fanboys come in masks.
