😀 Hope you got some value from this and helped you with analyzing your WiFi! You can help me by sending me your ideas about sensors and controllers. Please remember: all the used IP addresses are fake or from my test network 😉.
Norsk?
No, I'm Dutch
@ just saw the helicopter, looked like our rescue helicopters. Anyway, thank you for the video! Im doing several diy esphome stuff, but I'm in the very beginning of that (and any microcontroller) so I'm still figuring things out. Not that easy to learn new stuff at 50yo
@@TormodNicholasMortonTorgersen Keep learning. Yep I'm also over 50 and each day learning new stuff. Learning starts by doing things, following examples and from there you can use your own creativity. 😀
That is a fake Co2 sensor It's a eCo2 just calculting the Co2 values by guessing what it is out from the VOC values. Works good for VoC, but nothing else. Get a NDIR Co2 sensor. Would recomend as well, PM 2.5, natural gas, CO, and maybe a separate formaldehyde sensor. You can test fake Co2 sensors by waving a little solvent in the air around it, VoC should spike (from 0.1 ambient or so to over 5.0) but Co2 should not move, and open a half soda bottle and squeeze and wave around the sensor and Co2 should spike at almost at max (2000-10000ppm)
There is always good better best. Sometimes is good, good enough.
Hope you got some value from this! You can help me by liking this video and subscribing to DIY-Sensors. Feel free to ask your questions or ideas for sensors. Thanks, Ap DIY-Sensors
Great video and thank you for sharing, can you share the Yaml file if possible....
@@osfersa No problem, I will share it today and place a link.
@@osfersa You can download the yaml file on my github site: github.com/DIY-Sensors/build-your-own-smart-home-presence-detector/blob/main/presence-detector/MQTT.yaml Have a nice day!
Thanks!
What is the response time when motion has been detected?
Directly. As soon as the motion is detected it will be sended to HA.
@DIY-Sensors but motion detection is instant? I have had some slow motion sensors in the past that are just slow to detect
@@girian Yep, the detection is instant. The loop runs constantly and as soon as there is a deaction it sends its data to HA.
thank you for the great video.😄
Hope you got some value from this! You can help me by sending me your ideas about sensors and controllers.
Great video !
Hi there, very nice video with great information. 👍 Can you make a few of those for me?
No problem! Please contact my by: matteman.nl/Contact I will answer you soon by e-mail.

Oh come on. Just glue two breadboards on a piece of... whatever. Absolutely no need to complicate life with 3D printing at this point.
Flush cutters work great for trimming the plastic lugs off.
😥 *Promo sm*
I am getting 404 errors on all three of the links (github, tinkercad and thingiverse)
That’s a weird looking hue motion sensor xD
Sometimes you get inspiration from big companies 😉
