How to play ABC - The Jackson 5 - Piano Tutorial
Great. I suddenly remember when i played the piano and sang this beautiful song. Boys than i was 16 years old in the 70
Great review! I am looking at getting one of these, but I've never played piano at all (guitarist). I've looked at a lot of reviews and the two downsides I usually hear about are the app and the action. The app seems to be very basic and low tech compared to others, but I don't really know how much that matters. The complaint about the action, was that the keys feel sluggish on their return and that they feel heavier than a real acoustic. The ones making these comments feel that it is harder to play faster songs and that you would get tired. In your review, you said you can lighten them up by one level if you want to play faster songs, but if you do it by two levels it starts to sound tinny. Would this be the same thing they are referring to? Any thoughts. PS: Personally I will be using the piano mostly for rock and pop, but I like the 'idea" of playing something as close to an acoustic as possible, and though I don't plan on playing classical, I would love to be able to play Moonlight Sonata (at least the 1st movement).
I like it. You can never recreate an acoustic perfectly. I wouldn't call it sluggish. Lighten by 1 if you prefer that. You have to do it every time ( there might be a way to save it but i dont know how). But it's easy. The app worked for me but I very rarely use it. Useful for stage though if you want more sounds and more controls over your sound.
@@BetweenTheKeys-fw9in Thank you for the reply!
do u know if using a VST instrument from laptop via MIDI cable can the sound be routed to come out the piano speakers?
@@dc2guy2 you can connect it to a pc with Bluetooth so I don't see why not. Though that is an unusual setup. I'd say get some monitors (speakers) as well to be safe
@@BetweenTheKeys-fw9in thanks, yeah I'm just trying to reduce the amount of equipment I need to bring with me. I'm no professional and only go to an occasional jam session with friends/family..also I have a tiny car lol
@dc2guy2 understandable. Small speakers can now be quite loud so worth a look
I just bought a Casio CDP-S360 but I'm afraid to open it as I may want to return it now that I'm seeing your review...HELP lol
@@dc2guy2 keep the box in good condition and the receipt. Or you could always upgrade later and gift the casio to a friend or family. Thanks for watching :)
1:15 How do you know it's an upright? There's no display, does it say so in the manual? I was testing this model in a shop last evening and it sounded very mellow, and not particularly loud even on 5 max volume setting, perhaps it was on one of the other sound settings. I didn't know you can cycle through different sounds within 'piano', thanks for that demo.
Great content! I'm sure your channel will grow fast. Thank you
Thanks for a great review, I am thinking on this for learning, thanks for your upload 👍
Listening to the pianist/signer in the lounge is my favorite thing to do in the evenings when I'm cruising - Best of luck Daniel!
Thankyou!
Please do more Gracie! ❤❤
@@itsKittenMilk do you have any songs you want to learn specifically?

Besides price, any thoughts on FP10 vs the FP30X? So much positive info online about the FP10, I hesitate to go for the FP30X. Definitely a beginner, but I do want Midi connections. Thanks!
@@RichRocketMan there are a few differences and I think the 30x is worth the extra money but the fp10 is great for beginners. Ask yourself how long you'll own it, will you ever perform on stage, and how much you'll play it at home realistically
@BetweenTheKeys-fw9in Thank you! One more question... Costco is selling a piano VERY similar to the FP30X. For $599, you get the piano, bench, stand, headphones, and triple fixed pedals. Online community is buzzing about this. Have you heard about this? If yes, thoughts? Seems like an amazing deal.
@@RichRocketMan I haven't but it sounds like a good deal to me! However, check the differences on the model, as they all have slightly different features. As long as the sounds are good, the action is good, and you have all the connections you need on the back then you are good to go
@@BetweenTheKeys-fw9in Thanks so much! I'm going to go for it.
@@BetweenTheKeys-fw9in Thanks so much!
I have the Roland FP 90x and the piano voicing is awful. I got it because they said a new sound chip was on board. The piano voicing is not true to each key and some are too loud or too soft. Action is very good for controller use but lousy piano sounds.
@@BudinVegas interesting. I've never played on the fp 60 or 90 and didn't notice any issues with my 30x. Except key clicking on one low Eb. But it doesent affect playing at all
Cool... a review from someone using piano for actual gigs.
Is this the same with the frp nuvola model sold at costco?
Never tried one but chat gpt said they are the same!
@ costco has a bundle black color stand with integrated 3 panels, bench and roland headset for $599.
We can't hear you properly 😢
What? Sounds fine to me
Great tutorial! Can you please make one for [i don't want to talk about it by rod stewart ]? It would mean a lot.thanks!
No problem. I will do it soon and let you know when it is up!
I liked the action on rd800. Even though the spec claim they have the same action. I felt it was different. Maybe the more substantial case impacts the feel perhaps. And roland seems to target modern styles and gigging pros. I think for classical music yamaha and kawai works better.
So good!
Good voice modulation probably inadvertent
I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't play the melody and sing along.😂
The FP10 is fantastic. Same action, a lot cheaper, and wonderful sounds. But I would change that pedal. Get the Roland DP10 immediately.
Did you mean FP10?
There are some instruments in the intro during the “it's the real difference between an adult and a child,” but it's just a short violin. Then the bonk, bon-bonk is part of the instrumental, and it plays in the chorus. Also, the clean version says “class” both times, but the normal one does say “ass” the second time.
Good stuff man, I don't even own a piano, but this popped up in my feed and I thought I'd see how good it was - thoroughly entertained and it sounded pretty bang on. A lot of time you see tutorials for the Piano and they include the vocal lines and thats never what I'm personally interested in, and I can use these chords to learn it on the guitar:)
@@justdavelewisglad you enjoyed it man. Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if you have any song requests :)
bro it could be great and very helpful if you could do a video of how to actually figure the chords and melody for a song on our own. Maybe starting with a very easy song.
Could you do John Legend's P.D.A. please! There's nada tutorial existing for that!
I'd interested to hear how you think the FP-30X compares to the Korg Liano. BTW, I've had a FP-30 (the previous model) for years and I love using it with headphones whenever I can't make lots of noise with my Yamaha U3. It was a great buy.
I would love to compare them; I can get a Liano online to review it. Not sure how I feel about buying a product to review and then return it though. Perhaps I can get over that and it would be worthwhile. How is the U3? How often does it need tuning? That would be on my radar if I was looking at buying an acoustic, but I might wait another 10 years to do that.
this wouldve been great if i know how to play piano
@@Fake-ro6wm sorry if I went too fast!
@BetweenTheKeys-fw9in no noo youre doing good!! i have never touched a piano myself, id love to learn tho. your video is great for learning those chords, most tutorials dont use chords instead use numbers and visuals. i like your style of teaching
Just hum along.
Great performance! I`m glad but also suprised to give the first like!
I was and still am a big fan of MIchael Jackson! These chords where perfect. I loved this song! Maybe you can also try Heal the World and Will you be there. Thanks !
Thankyou! Both songs now live on the channel. Any more requests?
@@BetweenTheKeys-fw9in Thank you so much! Since you were also talking about Jackson Five, what about "I want you back" ? I know it is probably already on your list.
@@Constantinesis it is! Coming soon!
This waa informative and entertaining. Cheers
Thanks for your review on the Roland FP30x, placed a deposit on this keyboard and it will be my Christmas present. Not a pianist but will be learning to play at the tender age of 70, long uphill battle but looking forward to my journey. Loads of good training material on RUclips: Pianote, Jezer Lee, HD Piano to name a few.
@@lestaylor7767 good luck and let me know if you want to learn anything specific
Nice . Good luck on journey. Me, at 62 , in the same. Regards.
Yes, you' ve done very well, I wish you strength during the "long uphill journey". Me, the same as you, at 66, 've been learning about a year now, along with my grandson (11 y). Step by step, every day, a little studying and practicing, don't need to overdo it. It's joy and relief ! Greetings from Athens!
20 ADVANTAGES OF A DIGITAL PIANO Lighter & Smaller - easy to move - can be placed in the lounge or bedroom - take to church - take to your grandmother’s retirement home - play at someone’s hospital bedside. Makes moving home easier. Easier if one lives in a block of flats with stairs. More intimate placement - the player can maintain eye contact with the audience Headphones - Can practice in silence even in a room being used by others. With noise cancelling headphones it can even be used in a fairly noisy environment (lounge) where people are watching television. Volume Control on a greater scale than an acoustic piano. Transposable - one can ‘sing along’ with the music at a pitch that is comfortable. Three pedals on some digital pianos - including the sostenuto pedal and ability to learn half pedalling techniques. Teacher/ mode (the keyboard is split into two - each identical - allowing a teacher and student to play together) Built in metronome - different beats - volume adjust - Italian phrases (‘allegretto’) put into simple beats. Record/playback feature - can be rewarding when one is learning to play each hand separately. Adjustable keyboard touch sensitivity - useful for younger players or older players with arthritis. Harpsichord / clavichord / organ / electric piano modes. Not having the ‘piano forte’ ability, these modes can teach accuracy and provide an insight into the instruments used by composers such as Bach or Scarlatti. Dual mode - combine different sounds (piano and strings can be satisfying). MIDI in/out - students can start exploring the world of VSTs, MusiScore, DAW, etc. Customisable case - students can put their own stickers, transfers on their piano or carry case. Customisable sound - brightness, grand/upright piano sounds - keyboard weighting for older people - brilliance, ambience, the tone control (bass-mid-high) - the ability to do your own voicing for each note! Affordable - cheap to buy - and zero cost to maintain. Can handle heat/cold/damp - no need for a piano tuner! Invest the R60 000 you have saved in shares and when the child is 65 they will have R14.4 million. Bluetooth aids - software including practice reminders, training in sight reading and aural tests. Tuning - 440, 430, 410 - you choose. A 21st century sound - pure and always in tune. If the child doesn’t like it or doesn’t use it - sell/donate to a school or church (it’s also an organ). 10 ADVANTAGES OF LEARNING MUSIC Gives you confidence Improves hand/eye coordination Instills self-discipline to practice regularly Helps you to ‘read ahead’ Instills joy Boost the immune system, lowers stress and anxiety, and eases depression Develops eyes, ears and hand coordination Ability to keep time Pro-prio-ception - pianists are aware of the relationship of different parts of the body Artistic and creative interpretation
Seems like we're all doing the same thing. At 65 I'm going to rekindle my attempts to learn the piano. Just ordered one of these off Amazon for our house in Mexico. Looking forward to it, looks like it's got more than I need in the way of functionality.
we just bought yesterday this piece of art
Enjoy

Hello - I want to learn Piano . I am very motivated - so thank you for your video . Perhaps if you want to play the song first completly and than you go to the details - Me for example don't know this song.
Hi, this is a short series where I teach the US Top 40. If you are a beginner I suggest learning some chords and scales first. You can find videos on my channel for that. I also offer piano lessons online and recorded, and if you are interested you can email me - forinodan@gmail.com
The example of jazz was boogie woogie. You played it clean though.
This is fantastic! From where did you get your music education? Music school? Self taught?
I love this channel. Just discovered today! Keep going
Thank you, means a lot, I will! And the camera angle should be full width! But I made a few for socials first...
Nice, How do you put Chordie in OBS?
You click on add and then click screen capture, and then select window, not whole screen. With Chordie App open already on your computer it will be one of the options when you select windowed screen capture. Hope this helps.
Fantastic lesson! Thank you
Excellent! Keep them coming. You're blowing up!
