2017 Nissan Rogue Oil Change
Просмотров 45 тыс.4 года назад
This is how I changed my engine oil on my 2017 Nissan Rogue. You will need 0W-20 oil as recommended by Nissan. Tools that I used: Metric wrench/tool #14 and oil filter plier Thanks for watching!
Someone explain this to me he didn't change the filters??😮
Shine a light gotta slow down on the moving. Can’t see anything bc you’re moving so much.
I Think Someone Else Asked The Same Question 🤔But,you’re Not Going To Change The Filter?
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY NISSAN
Really bad 😞
Thanks for posting I had no clue what weight oil to use till I watched your video. Thank you very much
These cvts have a recall so you could go to dealer and he’ll put a new one. For the dipstick just bend that piece of metal the plastic cap will work fine after wards. You need to drain the oil from the 19mm plug and put back 3.5 litres CVT oil. Don’t play with the overflow or filter and gaskets etc as the filter is not under pressure to replace it like in engine oil filters. And the washer on the plug is re-usable you don’t need to spend lots of money 2014-17 pathfinders are cheap now to resale. The dealer does not change filters or gaskets etc . 15-20 mins job. Thanks
Recall is expired.
You didn’t change the tranny filter
Thank you so much for posting this. I truly appreciate it. Im sooooo sick of these extreme prices on something I can do myself. I used to change the oil in my Altima years ago, so I can handle my Rogue. 😊
Only real mechanics work with sandals all year lol
@adezulfikar5115 ... You drain 3.2 why you fill 4 quart?
Can you use the brand royal purple oil in the 2017 nissan rogue
I'm sorry, I don't have spec comparisons for that oil. I don't know. May be others have the experiences with the oil
Yes
What about valvoline
@@issavibez394 Yes, you can use it with the same specifications
@@issavibez394 valvoline do be kinda mid doe
Where did you get the recommended temperature from?
Tip, from a good source, always, always remove or loosen the fill plug first, if the fill plug is ceased or stuck to the pan and you happen to strip it out while removing it after you have drained the oil, you will not be able to refill the pan with fresh oil or your car will be non-operational until you figure a way to remove your fill plug to add new oil. Also, it is recommended that the transmission oil is drained at running temperature, drive the car for 15-20 minutes and let idle for another 2-5 minutes, let it cool down for a few minutes then drain.
Do you check the fluid with the vehicle on or off?
Best video I' ve seen for this topic
Don't change the fluid with original Nissan it's last for 10k that's it. go with Castrol cvt transmission fluid
i never heard of this i have been told the opp. never use nothing but nissan its made for nissan and juke cvts any other brand is bad for them
@jessegoodspeed5076 you guys are both wrong using OEM oil always the safer bet but using branded oil is fine as long it meets the spefication. My car needs NS-3, something like Valvoline cvt fluid worked for my car. It wont void your warranty. I've been switching between Valvoline and OEM depending if im broke or not but most of the time OEM, about to hit 190k on my 2014 sentra. Last year i would read that AMSOIL cvt fluid was really good and gave it a shot and personally i felt a difference compared to OEM and Valvoline. On my next change and from then on i will probably be sticking with AMSOIL.
¿Cómo se destraba el tapón de la varilla de la caja de transmisión?
I think your car needs to be running while checking the level.
What about the filter???
Is that the first time you've used a ratchet wrench?
Have you changed the filters and seal since this fluid change?
Nop
How many quarters for Nissan Pathfinder 2013?
Thank you sir: please update us with more tutorials clips on how to maintain Nissan Rogue 2017 ?
21today 0 seconds ago Hi. Does anybody know if a 2011 Nissan Sentra transmission is compatible with the 2016 Nissan Sentra? The wiring on the 2016 doesn't seem to line-up/ reach the sensors on the 2011 transmission. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I’m tired of paying $70-$100. I’m so changing my own oil tomorrow
70 to 100 is stupid seriously for just a 20 minute job is ridiculous
1:38 - you must have put the camera into mirror mode (or whatever it's called) - I had to check, and it looks like there is a second drain plug on the left side, that is a left handed thread. Or mirror mode. LOL thanks for the video.
Thats AWD or FWD
Are the drain bolts left hand threads? it looks like it in the video
That’s what I was wondering. I see in other comments now that he was using front camera which reverses image. It is a standard thread and counter clockwise to remove.
@@stevestone1158 yeah i just did this service myself and they are normal threads the camera work was just mirror images.
So after filling with new fluid do you wait until all excess is drained?? It was still draining when you put the plug back on can you clarify please
i believe you need to put more in like he did and take drain plug out keeping the fill tube in and it will drain out fill tube and when it starts to trickle and stop having a steady stream its good
Good night, what would be the recommended oil for the automatic transmission box for the Accord 2005 2.4 EX and how many liters should it be placed? Thank you very much in advance
wait, you loose the drain plug clockwise? not the regular counter-clockwise?
Yeah, seemed odd. Like I was watching in reverse.
Why the video is mirrored?
I know, he was tightening the bolts anti clockwise.
Great video
How much total quarts need to refill
Awesome job thanks for you’re effort some one inform me there is filter you need to change filter
There is but when I asked Nissan dealer they said they only do drain and refill, no filter change. I think I will change the filters after 120k.
Transmission filter no need change any fluid change time ???
this makes no sense
Okay and and what do we do with it
Most cities have a collection place for chemicals/fluids and it’s usually free. Also many of the major stores will take it too, like: O’Reilly, advanced auto, autozone. It’s also usually free or very cheap to bring it there.
The car needs to be idling & warm when unbolting the fluid level plug (when checking the fluid level). The fluid should be a very thin fine stream when coming out. Not dripping like on the video. If its dripping add a half of quart more, cycle the gears and recheck.
Need change filter.
So this method should work on 2013 JX35. Infiniti wants $300 just to check the transmission fluid. I have 180k on car, of which I put 60k (car used and purchased from an Infiniti dealer). Having put 60k, do you think its time to change out transmission fluid?
Yes it’s every 60k buddy
If my tranny fluid is low can I just add fluid or do I have to chnagev
Porque el no cambio el filtro de carton
At what mileage are you suppose to change the transmission fluid nothing is stated in the owners manual?
Every 30-40k miles for your cvt tranny to last.
every 50k is what nissan recommends
It's supposed to be 50k. I do it myself so I do it every 30k to be safe. I don't take any chances with these transmissions. If I was paying for the service I'd do it every 50k at the dealer but doing it myself is much cheaper so I do it more often. (It's my gf car, I tried to convince her to buy a manual Car but she wouldn't, even though she can drive manual. My car is a 2013 Focus wth a manual they are super reliable (383,000km and counting) so if she would have agreed to stick, I would have found a cheap, higher mileage 2013-2014 Focus.
@4:01, Wouldn't Beck/Arnley Transmission Fluid Z1 be safe to use? Z1 was the original fluid used before Honda changed it to DW-1, btw.
dw1 is the new fluid honda recommends for all z1 transmissions.
What about the rest of the. Fluid you change 40% this is bullshit to change what about the rest 60%
honda only reconmds you change the 3 qts that come out. you arent supposed to change all of the fluid
2qts? I think you need more boss
Should be 3 1/8ish quarts
Actually, it's 7.25 qts total
Capacity is 7 1/4 but you can’t get it all out unless you do a flush so 3qt is all your really changing
Thank you so much!
To loosen u pulled to the front of the car..which looks like going to the right ..I've watched 3 videos 2 pulled to the front one pushed to the back
