These guys railed
thats 125 vs a 500.
This is so awesome! Thanks for putting it out there!!!! If time travel is ever possible, I’m stopping here after I grab Florence Henderson in 1971
Tony, thanks a million for putting all these up. I've been recovering from a surgery for a while, and watching the whole 1994 season. I've enjoyed all your stuff and nabbed a shirt. Thanks.
Well, we can't win them all. Team America did its best against the worlds best, but had some bad luck that year. The over-watered track is no excuse as it is the same for all riders, and any rider worth his position on a Des Nations team needs to be able to ride in any condition whether wet, dry or somewhere in between. Great job by Team Belgium in taking top honors on their home turf. They rode well and deserved it. Too bad Pit Beirer of Germany didn't have the help of another competitive rider to support his double wins. He just ran away in both of his motos. Didn''t like the comment by Dobbs of Team Britain against Team USA; very unprofessional. Certainly not something team manager Dave Thorpe would condone. America would be back as they won again, but not for another 6 years if I remember correctly.
Absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥👏🏼👏🏼✌🏼
Lamson picked the perfect line every time. Legendary run
"All the crowd except those two goin' to the restroom...really intent. " I sincerely miss Art Eckman.
Who’s the KTM rider in the 2nd Heat ?
@1:45 "The nastiest gnarliest diriest motorcycle event in the world" totally disagree. The Swedish event which has been run since, I think 1915, the famous Novemberkasan, where competitors ride both day and night. Normally in November, the weather in Northern Europe are usually either cold with snow, or wet and rainy. And lot of mud on the stages. The total length are often between 200-300 km. Each lap has 4-5 stages in addition to transport stages. One lap in daylight and two laps during the evening and night
this is after RJ wrecked his right wrist. he retired only months after this race. would have been cool if he had won this one.
Hey look the first dragons back obstacle....1992...RRRRR UP RRRRRR DOWN

The O'Show, smoking the previous years champ and Kawis young gun.
Broc's front end seems so sketchy
12:23 Pichon quads it!!
Privateers weapon of choice for 86 was definitely a Honda!
I get a kick out of every post or vid headline that says,------ "Best blah blah EVER!!!", as I realize they are talking about a span of a couple years to a day. lol "Ever" is a real short time for those who know no history. :)
Thank you so much ill be watching all of them
Jeff the chicken got his Nick name from his parents owning a chicken farm,in southern California.
In the summer of 1993 I had a chance to beat Jeff Stanton, on a Mt. Bike. It was at Yankee Springs Michigan, a great 13 mile loop back then. I had a cool Carbon fiber Kestral of the early days of a carbon Mt. Bike, but had a beginner friend riding with me that day on my spare bike. He snapped a chain before we took off and I was fixing it on the ground. The it happened, Jeff and about 4 of his friends rode by us to start their ride, and Jeff was checking out my bike on the ground, (which kid of blew me away from a Factory Honda rider). That was the only summer I was going very fast on that trail, but I could not leave my buddy behind. Man, I would have loved to beat Jeff there. Not sure if I could, but I sure wanted to try. :) Doug in Michigan
Thats all schow greetings Jan from Holland big Guys 😂😂😂God bles jou 😇ama world series greetings Jan en onder mijn spatbord stond too fast for you 🤣😂🤣ama Venlo 💪🤘✌️🖕
2 stroke motocross memories...❤😃
Classic Bradshaw!!!! If y’aint 1st you’re last!!!!! I miss this Era of AMA Motocross. ☠️🤘🏼☠️🤘🏼☠️💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Why are the Euros crying about the track and the heat?
Those guys worked out of a box van ... No pampering in a air conditioned semi with showers and beds . Seat of the pants racing
This is classic Carlsbad, dry , hot , dusty , blue groove and woops everywhere. The euros hated Carlsbad. De Coster never won there . If our tracks were rough like this, team USA would do better in Europe. If it rains at Carlsbad it turns into a complete nightmare 😮 I raced there a lot . They had to cancel the race once, no one could make one lap around the track
Whatever happened to the movie Holeshot that RJ was talking about?
He'll go home on the greyhound bus...lol
I love the fact that these guys were soo good and soo competitive, that they didn't have time to showboat all the time like other riders... We will never see this caliber of riders again. Tracks are easier today.
Yeah they were, and yes still a 2 stroke motocross bikes the best
I remember being at this race and seeing Bradshaw bite it..
Just didn't know calquist works 500 in 1981 had the power valve. Went in to production on the 250 in 82 onwards but never the big bore yams
Cooper a class act , and what a incredible rider !
33:07 the moment that it spells bad news for Larry Ward
Unbelieveable that it´s fourty years ago (almost)......
You and Baily make it look easy!! I race and I'm so tired after a Moto i can't hold my bike up after i kicked ass,! People have no clue bro!!
Supercross is life
Good memories. Good times. Love this track.
bayle humiliated ward and stanton regularily😂
bayle was in his own class back then😊
Best times of my life !!!
THE BEGINING OF EVERY TEAM SWITCHING TO ''UP SIDE DOWN'' FORKS....
The sound effects to this race are the worst I've ever heard! It makes it unbearable to even watch. What were they thinking?!
Some music, (with some real musical instruments, unlike today's no talent noise), and the sound of 2-stroke engines, (unlike the fat lady fart sounds of a 4-stroke). Which is 'sound effects" to you?
OK, granted, this is not music either. Early techno talent-less noise.
Why the hell would you let the 4 wheelers go first?
Doug “my tummy hurts” henry
Fun to watch the bumping and shoving between emig and swink. Both were strong. Emigs always fun to watch. Rip Brian swink
I find it odd how the 1991 season did not air on ESPN, but rather in syndication. But it did air in Europe on Screensport, which was the European ESPN at the time.
Ahhh the good ole days. ATK i wanted one so bad back then. Too bad the original commercials weren't left in this brodcast. Great video none the less.
It certainly was a very rough natural terrain track specially with the tall grass
