She has visited various parts of India for various programmes organized by some noted organizations including Sangeet Natak Academy.A Sangeet Nipun from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow and a B’ high artist of AIR and Doordarshan, Mitalee De is a direct disciple of Vidushi Mandira Sharma Lahiri of Kolkata and eminent vocalist Vidushi Dr Ashwini Bhide Deshpande of Mumbai.She has also received training in certain light classical compositions from the Kathak maestro and renowned vocalist Pandit Birju Maharaj. Apart from that, she has also received advanced training of Borgeet (a traditional devotional song of Assam) under Guru Sri Murari Mohan Sarma.
