Lee Galea and Indie Melbourne Productions is best known for their 2013 love story film Monster Pies, which premiered at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival and went on to win best feature film. It also screened at Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival, Philadelphia QFest and The Galway Film Fleadh. Monster Pies is distributed in the US and Europe by TLA releasing. In 2017, Lee released The Neon Spectrum starring Joshua Orpin from DC Titans, in his feature debut. It was released by Umbrella Entertainment and has been broadcast through the Nine network in Australia.
In 2019, Lee produced a soundtrack of mostly original songs for his musical drama Filterphonic, which opened the Lorne Film festival in the same year. In 2020, Melbourne indie Film festival awarded the film Best Drama. His newest film Sexagenarian is currently in Post-Production.
During the 2020 lockdowns, he wrote Single, Out a queer comedy series. All six episodes were filmed during 2021.

Just started watching this. It's, in my opinion, up there with greats like HEARTSTOPPER, and QUEER AS FOLK. Of course, Australia, England and Ireland are the best when it comes to queer films and shows. I'm only on the third episode, but, the great writing and acting. I find Will Hutchins' character very relatable as I am also into photography. And, ALL the actors seem to really inhabit their characters with great ease. It's has just the right amount of tongue in cheek without being overly goofy, or worse, totally campy, which is something some queer entertainment tends to throw in too much of. One of the best scenes is the coming out scene at the end of the first episode. None of the usual emotional turmoil the usually goes with coming out scenes. Just a straight up "I'm gay", with none of the drama or family homophobia that is the over used trope. And the relationship between the two brothers is more realistic. The usual brotherly discourse, but with the knowledge that, when it comes to it, they will both have each brothers backs, and will always look out for each other. At least, that's what I can figure out from three episodes. Look forward to seeing where the series goes.

@@indiemelbournepro I just found out that you also made MONSTER PIES. Another brilliant cinematic masterpiece, but, at the same time, very heartbreaking. It's one of those titles that are on my "must own on Blu-ray 📀📀 📀📀📀📀 or DVD 📀📀📀📀📀 list. I used to have it on Blu-ray 📀📀📀📀📀📀, but, I had a roommate that made a lot of my movies disappear, including that one. Sorry if I'm bothering you with the barrage of comments.

I just became aware of the show recently and have watched season 1 and up to episode 5 of season 2 and love the show, looking forward to the rest of this season and hopefully a season 3. Will seems as happy and outgoing in this interview as his Adam is in the show. I'm looking forward to more from Will, I think his future is bright.
