Well, it worked for awhile,then stopped. I've replaced the battery twice and mad sure the battery was SNUG just like you said. The POC is made in China. Gonna just buy a new replacement quartz movement.....THEN try your suggestion.

I have a clock in our bedroom that is very quiet per hubby's request. It's been acting up off and on for a few years. It would work when laying flat and would continue to run for awhile after being hung on the wall. Now it's working all the time!! So glad I found your video!!

Here in late 2023 ... I have fixed a couple or so of these battery clocks before & if it still does not work, most likely that battery connector arm(s) have indeed fallen off, or there is corrosion on the opposite end of contact arm that connects to the inside of case that touches a circuit pad. You will have to open the case up -- carefully -- & inspect that part of it. Use IP alcohol, vinegar or some kind of electronics contact cleaner fluid to clean that part up of metal contacts on circuit board with a cotton swab. Sometimes the corrosion will look like some green stuff. Be aware that the gear wheels might pop out unexpectedly as you are removing the case & you will have to figure out how to put them back in sequence. Other times I had to use solder & a wire to bypass mechanical contact. If none of that still works, then it could be the solder points, pcb chip, crystal, gears, magnet, or coil & those will be more difficult to repair, if at all. You can always try finding another working battery clock module as a replacement since they more or less have the same square black box formfactor & dimension measurements. Ebay is one good source, or you can snatch it out of another battery clock that you already have. 12/21/23
