As a firey I 'm surprised at the lack of respect this crew has for its vehicle, let aone for their own safety. Luckily for them it all worked out ok but the truck is probably a write-off due to water damage and the driver deserves a good kick up the arse for being so irresponsible. No emergency is worth taking that much risk, find an alternate route to get there.
