That is 278, looks like there use to be a private crossing or an old road too
I know where it went the road been gone for a few years now
Storage train or work train?

@ why is there also a hoper for storage?
@2025trainfanmanproductions from my understanding, the hole train was put in storage I'm not sure why the box cars and hoppers where put there

Wow beautiful horn and catch Shannon 😊. Certain American train horns I’ve realized sound a little similar to some of Go Transit’s old Bilevel cab car horns

It doesn't really matter to me what they use just like to seeing trains in general come by

288 is behind T24 by an hour. 288 has NKP hu leading.

@@adventureswithshannon5717 Same due to early morning hours plus I've seen it on the old 23G, 126, 279, 289. And so far every train the past half a week has had bad power all C6M leader all day long. I can't wait for a EMD leader or DC GEVO.

Q: What ever happened to NS 136? A: It got renumbered to T34!
@rip_roadrailers yeah A: 136 and 135 got replace id's as for the Knoxville to Asheville and back are T34 east and T35 west

@rip_roadrailers that's what I understand. That's the I'd numbers give to them since they not threw freight no more

@adventureswithshannon5717 Wasn't to bad here, just fast and heavy but moved on quickly
One thing I've noticed since they've downgraded 135 and 136 to three times a week is that both trains are longer.
Great catch! What time was this taken at? I might try to come out either tonight or one of these nights, trying to plan on when I should get up to Roe Junction.
@atlanticrailproductions4206 they roll by me between 9 and 11:30pm. This was at 10:10pm You can also find them in white pine, at the mp219 mp to I've thought about catching them there in town at the crossing

@atlanticrailproductions4206 one train daily west bound 135 Monday wensday Friday and east bound 136 Sunday Tuesday Thursday they come by me between 9 and 11am

This is a tool CSX does not have or will not use , all their main line track in Tennessee and Georgia is an absolute JUNGLE !!
Oh ok I haven't seen any csx track maintenance equipment. I think this was a leaser cutter from Indiana. it seems to be where there from few years a go they used one that had a mulch header on it
I guess for some reason it is best to just do one side at a time? Will something else come along and pick up the cut limbs?

Good thing they're not going to Linwood or they'd have to have 2 or 3 additional locos to get over the S curve.

I worked at a Ford Dealership and we'd get a lot of these rail trucks. The custom front wheels have so much mass it takes 2 men to pick up one. Also how I learned to work the strobe lights and CB radios lol.
