Thank you Elder Anderson for your enlightening lesson studies, they leave me longing for closer relationship with our Lord Jesus. It did occur to me that the ‘Jewish laws’ or health customs like washing hands before eating, not eating ‘unclean’ foods were inspired by God to keep them healthy and were meant to be a blessing. Unfortunately, as you pointed out, the Pharisees turned them into burdens.

For the love of humanity people, stop it with these delusions. Your life is here and now, provided by nature and chance. There’s nothing higher up, pulling the strings and making plans. Look inside yourself for the reason behind your choices and the consequences, and fuckin own them. Live for the moment, not for the promise of a reward when there will be nothing. That’s what kids do, when they don’t know better. Grow out of it, and the countless absurdities in that fantasy book you swear to live by, forgetting it’s only true message, to be kind to one another, modest, and to curb greed. It’s all a big metaphor to convince you of that, and yet it’s the only things everyone seems to forget.

There's a different angle on this. Those that choose to do the opposite of the parents poor parenting end up just as 'wrong' but in the opposite and just as damaging way. Eg the children of those that parent too little, parent too much. Those that choose not to be strict as parents, are too lax. Wisdom is in the middle.

100% true. Becoming self aware is the way to change yourself and model better bahaviours to children and others. As the saying goes... be the change you want to see.

I believe ordaining women as elder or decons goes againt the Word of God, 1Tim 2:12 God gave specific roles for men and women. it is not based on scripture. i believe by ordaining women it weakens men in the leadership in the church and thier familys. (men will less likely want to take leadership in that roll ) brings in confusion.

Prior to sin, was it Adams responsibility to protect Eve?
