Thank you Elder Anderson for your enlightening lesson studies, they leave me longing for closer relationship with our Lord Jesus. It did occur to me that the ‘Jewish laws’ or health customs like washing hands before eating, not eating ‘unclean’ foods were inspired by God to keep them healthy and were meant to be a blessing. Unfortunately, as you pointed out, the Pharisees turned them into burdens.

For the love of humanity people, stop it with these delusions. Your life is here and now, provided by nature and chance. There’s nothing higher up, pulling the strings and making plans. Look inside yourself for the reason behind your choices and the consequences, and fuckin own them. Live for the moment, not for the promise of a reward when there will be nothing. That’s what kids do, when they don’t know better. Grow out of it, and the countless absurdities in that fantasy book you swear to live by, forgetting it’s only true message, to be kind to one another, modest, and to curb greed. It’s all a big metaphor to convince you of that, and yet it’s the only things everyone seems to forget.

There's a different angle on this. Those that choose to do the opposite of the parents poor parenting end up just as 'wrong' but in the opposite and just as damaging way. Eg the children of those that parent too little, parent too much. Those that choose not to be strict as parents, are too lax. Wisdom is in the middle.

100% true. Becoming self aware is the way to change yourself and model better bahaviours to children and others. As the saying goes... be the change you want to see.

I believe ordaining women as elder or decons goes againt the Word of God, 1Tim 2:12 God gave specific roles for men and women. it is not based on scripture. i believe by ordaining women it weakens men in the leadership in the church and thier familys. (men will less likely want to take leadership in that roll ) brings in confusion.

Prior to sin, was it Adams responsibility to protect Eve?

Caros irmãos e amigos que estão fazendo estudos bíblicos com os adventistas do sétimo dia (IASD) ABANDONEM URGENTE estes ensinos heréticos e anti-bíblico desta seita, parece Igreja, mas não é, não se deixem enganar, busque a Deus em oração, leia apenas a Bíblia Sagrada. • Ninguém se torna adventista do 7º dia examinando apenas a Bíblia Sagrada, eles precisam dos escritos espúrios da serva do Senhor Ellen White. VEJAMOS ALGUMAS PONDERAÇÕES: 1- Os Pastores, Pregadores, Professores da Escola Sabatina e os Instrutores bíblicos dos gefs (grupos de estudos familiares) já trazem em suas revistas das lições da escola sabatina seus estudos todos prontinhos, mastigadinhos!!! Isto é uma estratégia para enredar os incautos e enfiar pela goela abaixo suas gambiarras teológicas. Não caia no “conto do vigário” dos sectários adventistas. 2- Na IASD os alunos principiantes na fé não têm liberdade plena de questionar, perguntar, refletir, criticar, discordar, duvidar, raciocinar, opinar, indagar, censurar os seus Instrutores sobre as doutrinas estranhas por eles apresentadas com base bíblica questionável (textos isolados fora do contexto e doutrinas de um texto só). NÃO SEJAM MANIPULADOS!!! 3- Caros amigos adventistas já perceberam que seus Líderes e Teólogos da UNASP, NÃO ACEITAM nenhum estudo bíblico e livros de outros teólogos e eruditos cristãos que não seja da IASD, como se eles fossem os donos da verdade absoluta! - Como dizia Platão: Não existe uma verdade absoluta que não possa ser questionada; busquem base bíblica, não se alimente do que os outros falam. Despertem se permitem a pensar! 4- Por que será que os imbróglios dos estudos das crenças distintivas da IASD são baseados em sonhos, Insight e visões (mais de 2000) e nos escritos divinamente inspirados pelo seu “anjo assistente” (cf. Gálatas 1:8,9). Ellen G. White a serva do Senhor é chamada pelos adventistas de “uma luz menor para conduzir homens e mulheres à luz maior”... 5- A liderança orienta os membros a adquirir as lições da Escola Sabatina, os livros e os comentários de Ellen G.
