    thank you that is exact what I want as I'm an engineer working for a bus company that makes seats and I am sick and tired of typing in what I want as it is repetitive work like nos of seats, seat type name and I want these work to be done autofill as I don't have to worry about it, I didn't know custom iproperties do the trick and would save me hrs of work normally takes me all day to do one job but doing autofill saves me half a day! i am making a new template to save hrs of work with the autofill

    The reason this is so fast is because this video was created for a contest Autodesk was having. He had to speed the video up to fit inside a five minute window to qualify. FYI this won third place overall!!

    Your user skills with Inventor are excellent, however, your teaching skills are abysmal. If you're purpose for this video was to instruct you failed miserably. Your pace is MUCH too rapid for someone trying to "learn" all of the steps (and shortcuts you use) to generate this part. You have great working skill but you lose your viewers/students almost immediately. Moving rapidly through an instruction tutorial is a waste of your time and ours...

      I Dont agree, for people who know Inventor, and know the basics all we need to see is the workflow. :) It goes both ways, some tutorials are suited for more advanced users, while other tutorials are suited for beginners. There's more than one audience.

    • @geoffmreynolds
      @geoffmreynolds 10 лет назад

      Stianchez I found this a great tutorial, due to skipping over basics for the more advanced users. And people doing this kind of modelling are only going to be advanced users

    Thank you for posting this video. When you say that it could not do assembly, do you mean that the components/parts can not be brought into a single file? I plan on using this version to simply assemble parts to see how they fit relative to eachother. Could that be done easily? Thanks!

    What about creating documentation of FG? Especially when there are several same components. Inventor gives unic name for same components in FG, how do you solve that?

  • @MudBudDud
    @MudBudDud 12 лет назад

    Thanks for the post! Good advice, well done, just enough on how to without the fluff. It's very important to keep the part names unique to its assembly. Why does AutoDesk allow this generic name thing happen?
