Max,'s lament for Billy is not justified, yes is his brother and in the end he saved all of them from the Mind Flyer, but that does not make up for all the bad things he did before to considerate him as "the good guy". In other words, they should have given him more character development.

Thank you so much. I hated Billy, and yeah his Dad was a terrible person, Billy was still really mean to Max, her friends, and tried to ruin the Wheelers' marriage. Most things he did in Season 3 weren't his fault, I understand, just like I don't blame Will for telling the 'Demo-dogs' where everyone was hiding in Season 2, but I don't think his previous actions can be redeemed in death.

I thought it was pretty clear that the mother was a psychic and passed those abilities down to her daughter (premonitions) and son (talking with the dead) but everyone thought she was crazy. Because the environment around her pushed the idea that she was crazy instead of validating her, her psychic abilities became too much for her to handle alone psychologically speaking because no one else felt what she felt, saw what she saw, or heard what she heard, so she took her own life
