Dyson Vacuum Model DC23 Turbine Head Brush Stops Spinning even after all debris has been cleared out. It could be due to a cracked or broken plastic piece that is connected to the axle. I have contacted Dyson and they do not sell this replacement part. It seems like the entire turbine head needs to be replaced.

Sadly that's why Dyson sucks as a company: I had several turbine heads and everytime it was the broken turbine wheel. If you look that up, you'll find dozens of posts stating the same. And nope, Dyson doesn't sell that part. They prefer you to buy a new one, even if it's easily fixable.

exactly happen to mine after using it for 6 years.... even though the crack isn't as crazy as yours.. ends up need to buy another vacuum with 20% discount offered by Dyson...
how did you get the side to pry open? I'm trying with a flat head and it's not coming off
It's been a while since I posted the video so I cannot say for sure that I am remembering correctly. I think I had to slowly slide the screwdriver in and prying at an angle as little at a time as I move the screwdriver further around the circumference. I may even have used 2 screwdrivers. One as a wedge and the 2nd to pry further.
Put the edges of the cap in hot water then it is easy to pull off.
Heat up with hair dryer
