The weapon is a MONSTER! Plus when you couple it with a good frame and some Archon Shards its more like a nuke ability, rather than just a melee weapon. 🤣🤣

Just use equilibrium and a panzer and never worry about energy economy. Arcane energize can then be replaced with either molt augmented or something useful like arcane acceleration. Since you almost always have shields on, molt efficiency could be useful, too.

Discharge works well on high levels and long runs. When it comes to using him for pure CC and shield gating, I think that's a bit of a waste of his potential. This nuke lets you keep the fun of nuking while letting you use weapons as well. In my opinion, it's fine for long runs, BUT a player's playstyle determines which builds work best for them, so the way you play is probably just as good as any other. I love hearing from you, Tenno! So, I've looked into the video a bit more in detail, not skipping a single second and want to point out a few things: volt's discharge does deal only electricity damage but it is unable to proc electricity as status effect, the only 3 things this means is that you can't prime enemies with electricity, can't stack conjunction voltage with the ability which requires electricity procs on enemies, but you can at least proc archon stretch energy regen with it. When enemies are armor stripped, they of course will take full damage from discharge but it will be neutral except for robotic enemies, in that case, however, they'd need to be stripped off their shields first. I've realised that no matter how much strength and other buffs one stacks onto volt, he deals with shielded enemies quite poorly including moas as well as overguarded enemies, I also wouldn't rely on it against eximus. A very important point is that your build craves for duration because a high range discharge loses up to 50% damage at max range and it might affect some enemies only for a short time because the discharge aura has travel time. That means that a 5 second duration discharge will effectively affect some enemies only for 2 or 3 seconds when they are at max distance from you. When you stand right next to enemies, they will be affected nearly immediately and you get the most out of discharge's duration. I've also seen that you rarely use his shield which adds 50% electricity to ranged attacks (very nice for galv aptitude builds) and doubles your total modded crit damage which is very important because for weapons that always crit, they will do double their usual damage now. Volt shield is also great for protection as that way, you'd have to use his 4 less for surviving when enemies are all in front of you. I personally always keep his shield and speed on, a lot of QOL. Speed sadly doesn't affect parkour speed, but at least it also provides a reload speed and melee attack speed buff. All that is why I decided against using discharge for nuking, and instead run Volt with 2 emerald shards for +4 corrosive procs, one tau red for duration and 2 tau yellow for casting speed. My build is the following: Growing power, lightning dash (for style points, we have unairu for knockdown immunity), boreal's hatred both for more efficiency but also higher max shields for longer shield gate duration (2,2 seconds at 916 shields), streamline (no fleeting because it reduces duration too much), archon stretch, rapid resilience (so we can drop rolling guard as even the strongest procs first need to get through our shields but their duration is only 1/4 now, also very nice when acolytes inflict you with strong procs), primed continuity or archon continuity, equilibrium (with a panzer vulpaphyla for extra survivability and external viral), primed flow, and lastly capacitance. Roar on his 1, arcanes molt augmented and acceleration so he becomes all about gunplay. We hit 170% duration, 145% efficiency, 145% range and 185% strength with growing power and molt augmented fully stacked up. This build is highly efficient, offers great survivability while buffing weapons (and melee, too) in a lot of ways. We also never run into energy issues as long as enemies drop health orbs when we keep our panzer alive.

The reason is the low duration and my main focus being the fourth ability spam. When it comes to the Corpus, their shields are a problem, but I find the Corpus much easier to kill than the Grineer. The part where you mentioned that there's damage fall-off for his fourth is interesting. I didn't know. Eximus units are the ones I find to be a benefit!!! Because armor stripping works on them regardless of overguard, making it easier to strike them down and grab my energy. As for your build, I have to say that I love it! It perfectly uses Volt's best qualities and allows you to use weapons efficiently. I'd love to try your build and maybe record/review it. If I ever do, I'll invite you so that you can share your way of playing. I might upload a video on how I play Volt personally one day, but other than that, THANK YOU, Tenno! @@dertest936 for primary i reccomend the Boar prime [incarnon] (its regular mode deals alot of damage while the incarnon is amasing in killing hords) Secondary: Dual Toxocyst [incarnon] (strongest secondary in game for now) But if you dont have access to that secondary i reccomend you use the [Gremuar] Best melee weapon for you is the [Xoris] because it comes from a mission for free and its an amasing nuke melee weapon. @@LeksiSpirit Yes I can, so I use umbral vitality and intensify, narrow minded, adaptation, primed flow, shock trooper, blind rage, transient fortitude, Aerodynamic and boreal’s anguish. I also use arcane blessing and arcane reaper for more survivability. I also use nourish for more damage and utility. The weapon that allows this to work is the innodem because while in the air you can throw projectiles.

Yes its perfecrly fine. Shards are completely unessecery.

There is already a umbral forma there from long ago and i dont feel like replacing it, plus combo duration is a bit short and i dont feel swotching schools just for a mele advantage.

Switch the evo to the plus 6s combo time, or run an R5 secondary Dex for 7.3 seconds extra. Together you get plenty of time

I modified the build slightly since then but im guessing it was the archon shards. If you copied the build and have the same lvl mods it should work perfectly. BUT here is what i changed since this video.. I removed the red archon shards and added casting speed x2 shards. Aura mod: Corrosive Projection Mods changed: Transient Fortitide removed and added Precision Intensity You are probably gonna see why i made these changes when you are modding. If you have any other questions drop them here!

@LeksiSpirit i get my survivability from capacitance and two tauforged casting speed shards and use all the extra slots for more energy and to increase my other stats like energy nexus and archon stretch. Ur getting diminishing returns with trying to health tank with volt

@@dirodekres5132 yes thats what the link is for, the volt i have on this vid is good for all missions and can solo tbem without a problem, i understand that my build seems bad to some but why would i play volt like that for 8 years streight. I mentined that i played him in all ways possible and that i settled on the "undying" build. The whole nuke, shield gate and cc is cool and all but it gets boring quick. Yes there are variations of this build of mine but this one is the most seamless.
