Ball striking practice - 3 drill to improve your game
Any beginner or intermediate level player can do these 3 drills to improve their ball striking quality. Please remember this if struggle with it.
1. Same backswing same delivery tempo through the ball.
2. Minimum amount speed to stop the ball (stop shot)
3. Cue delivery should feel gradual smooth.
Keeping these ideas in mind will help you greatly improving ball striking quality (potting and positional play).

Learn and improve screw back shots you need 3 major things ⬇️ 1. Deliver cue during impact to indended cue ball spot (height). If you aim low but hit high it won't happen. To get screw back you got to hit to specific spot. 2. Play softer almost like a pushing motion to the chest. Almost like you deliver cue to object ball. 3. Smooth gradual backswing and transition through the ball. With these ...

    3:46 There is "shifting" to not follow the technique that say "the hand should be perpendicular to the floor" . as you address the QB . lots of professional tend to do that about on fist length back from the traditional perpendicular .

      Agreed,,,,,,,,it takes a lot of time get rid of dead wood, that’s why focused practice makes good progress. Shorter, slow practice sessions can be very rewarding in the long run. Ounce you develop the feel of the Q Ball on the tip of the Cue and recognise the different sound of smoother contact. She’s Apples. Great Coaching.

    You gain far more control of the cue ball when you slow the shot down & use less power. It's beautiful when it comes right! People think you need to strike the white harder to get more spin. That's not always necessarily true....the most important part is to go right through the cue ball at a slower more controlled speed. This is worth practicing over & over until it becomes second nature!

    1:48 to 1:50 this is what i cannot do consistently, the cue butt is always offline either right or left __ im lining up with my right feet already on line of aim but my grip hand is to the right of my hip and when i get down the cue butt is offline. should the grip hand be on line of aim while standing up , before walking in? lets say you line up with middle of the body, should the grip hand also be in the middle of the body while standing up, i also tried lining with up middle of my body and the grip hand holding the cue is to my right hip, and when i get down the cue butt is offline please make some comments tnx in advance

    Another great drill. I found that whatever I do, I always see the shot thinner than it is. I know I’m not cueing across the ball, because when I line up 2 balls perfectly straight, a laser showed me I had lined them up too thin. As soon as I realised that was the case, I started to compensate for it and aim thicker, even though it looks totally wrong. Over time I’m starting to see them correct now, as my brain registers what used to be thick as correct. This means I started to miss thick occasionally, as I now overcompensate occasionally for aiming too thin. 😂😂

  • @MrXeberdee
    @MrXeberdee 15 дней назад

    I think this is great. So many of the snooker channels skip simple aiming drills, and it is THE most important thing to master aside from positioning the white. I watched another of your videos where you are aiming at left centre and right pocket - that’s what I do and it is probably the best thing you can do to understand and improve your game.

    I've been watching lots of other snooker tutorials (Barton snooker, break from life etc etc) and whilst they are good, your videos have helped me much more than any of the others. You get to the key points more quickly, avoiding too much focus on things like grip or foot position (which can make the whole process feel too complex or is a distraction from the real problems) and you provide really good practical advice. Your videos focus on the most important elements of alignment and cue delivery and I have improved a lot since I subscribed. I even beat my tutor friend yesterday 3-1 ! So thanks very much and keep it up :)
