BS!!!
Wish i found this video a couple months ago
What you had to say is so very relatable ... there were some who I never expected to but who stepped up and didn't even wait for me to ask and couldn't do enough for me. Then there were others, family, friends, even loved ones who could not bring themselves to reach out to me - that was so hard to bear, especially while dealing with this cancer in me. You explained some of those who held back so very well - fear of death, not knowing what to say - that explains a lot. Thank you so much! I hope that your journey continues to be healthy.
Thank you so much for sharing and for your kind words!! This experience challenged us in ways we did not expect, but it's making us stronger. Thank you being here!
What does it mean if a man has very small balls
About to start my fifth infusion today. I'm so tired, this really sucks
Sorry to hear that... How long have you got to go?
@@simplifycancer3150 I got 2 left, one today and one next week. Right at the end of my cycle. I've only had to deal with the 1xBEP, couldnt even imagine the times 3
I had a back surgery and my sister bought me Lance Armstrong’s book when I was in the hospital. So I started doing self exams and after about 3 months I felt a lump. I thought maybe I was just being paranoid so I went to a urologist, I had a PPO so I bypassed my GP. He felt it and didn’t think it was anything to worry about, and didn’t order an ultrasound. A year later the lump has gotten much bigger and is very painful. So I go back to same urologist and this time he has an ultrasound tech come in immediately, and he is pretty sure I have TC, and have surgery the next day. On a side note this same urologist years later was killed by his patient, walked into the Dr.’s office and shot him. This was a Newport Beach urologist named Dr. Gilbert. Chemo kicked my ass for my TC. I tried doing it by going the outpatient route, but I got extremely sick just after the first round, that I was hospitalized for 3 days. I then did all the other rounds in the hospital and was very nauseous and vomitted but I made it through. Had Embroynal and Yolk Sack germ cell.
I'm sorry you had to go through it - I was lucky in going through hospital and that was easier. Did you get scan results after chemo, or still waiting?
I had orchiectomy 12 days ago. I’m on stage 2. I have 11 cm nodul cyst. I don’t know will it compeletely disappear after BEP. Rpndl is a tough one. I don’t know what to do. I was on my peak phsically and mentally. I’ll lose my hair will it comeback like old times? Will i able to have kids? I live in Turkey. Sperm banking is crazy expensive out here. I don’t know if i could afford it. My nodule is way too big will it disappear compeletely? If it don’t disappear the rpndl i’ll get highly chance. I heard it’s really hard surgery to do and get over it and it has permanent damage ,like losing erection and ejecualation due to symphatic nerves. Will i lose what makes me man? If i go through this am i going to be happy again with my future wife and kids? Will i be good looking again? Idk maybe death is better option but i don’t want to transfer pain to my grandma she can’t handle it. Please help me out give me some answers.
So sorry you have to go through this!! But there's every hope that 3xBEP can take care of the tumor. But even it doesn't, RPLND can go really well in case of testicular cancer. I never heard of losing erection after it, but it's true that sometimes (only sometimes) ejaculation works differently, even though you still have sex and orgasm, it's the sperm that doesn't come out. Still, it doesn't happen all of the time and you can have the life you want beyond that!! Please don't lose hope, at the moment sounds like all the options are open, and things are looking great for you!! No need to fear, even though it's scary. What's helpful is trying to get these worries out of yourself - whatever works for you. Writing in your journal, talking to friends about it, making music... But get it out of yourself!! And keep talking to people who are/have been through it whenever you can, it's proof that you're not alone. Listen to my podcast and people whose lives are also touched by cancer - check out simplifycancer.com
Hey brother! I’m from Houston. I’ve actually been diagnosed with Germ cell cancer of the testis. Stage 2 as well. And it may feel a bit confusing the way they explain it. In my case it’s a gray area. I didn’t need chemo before my RPLND surgery which took place January 25th dude I can honestly say, first 2 days is painful, I actually even got placed on an Epidural which is for women that go into labor🤣 but that helped a lot for the pain. Oh and good news! I still get an erection and have full sensitivity and I’m 22! Yes I’m worried I won’t have kids anymore but we have to have Faith in God🙏🏼 please reply so we can stay in touch
And they want me to go through BEP. For 3 cycles. They say it’s to clean up the cancer cells that can’t be seen😐
I only told one guy at work.
Good on you! I feel the more people I told, the less of a burden it became for me
@@simplifycancer3150 I just don’t want people to look at me differently, or talk about me. I’m still me, not mr nonuts. Haha.
@@WhitePOWERranger1 Of course, you only want to share it with people you feel comfortable in when you want to! I found it helpful to share it - for my sake, not for anyone else's, and with people I care about I found a new appreciation, and even be able to laugh about it
Very helpful and soothing for me really like your voice and delivery¡ Stage four lung cancer fighter here presently in remission
Thank you, Jill!! Most of all, thank you for being here, and looking out for yourself in this crazy time. So good that you're in remission!!!
I started having my 4AM friend show up again after years of him being gone, I’m happy,
My fake nuts after surgery are bigger than my originals.
Removing both will result in you being feminized. Taking testosterone pills, shots, patches, etc. has serious downsides.
Am I gonna lose all my hair? Will it grow back?
If you're doing chemo, you're likely to lose all of your hair, but - it depends. My eyebrows and eye lashes didn't fall out... Main thing - it definitely grows back!!! I just liked my head shaved, it was starting to thin out, so I shave it to this day and love it.
I appreciate this vedio .I had testicle surgery already done and my cancer spread to lungs but i will need wait 4 month for onclogist appointment i am worry so much
I'm sorry that you're in this crazy place... Hopefully, there is some kind of way to speed up the appointment with your oncologist... Waiting is the worst!! Recently, I was waiting for surgery and my mind was drifting into worry and distraction, and what helped me was daily routine including things that helped me focus on my body, like yoga (just following a great teacher on RUclips), going into nature, writing... What might help you feel focused on things that matter to you?
Is it normal to have one cycle of chemotherapy even though I had my testicle removed, my CT scan, and my blood were normal?
Totally - it's usually carboplatine or one cycle of BEP to increase the chances of killing off any potential leftover cancer cells! If that is the option your specialist suggests, see what feels like the best decision for you - no one knows you the way that you know yourself!!
One cycle also side effects?
i am having a lung function test next week and hopefully starting BEP the week after i am worried about becoming unwell i won't lie
Of course I totally get it! What worries you the most?
@@simplifycancer3150 i think what worried is me getting phewnomia or me getting a infection your video was really helpful thank you very much
Man thanks so much for this video fortunately I didn’t have to go through any cancer but I’m so anxious that I will get it is it common and will I get it even if I have no triggers or symptoms
No worries!! Good on you for looking out for your health and things that worry you
He is having message for the kidneys and 3 different chemos for 5 days 4 rounds so every 21 days I told his Oncologists my father had small cell and I am very worried I made him a apt for University of Michigan'S Regal Cancer center but it is not until 1 month
My son has his left lung completely covered and the rightone is collapsing tomorrow is his 2ed round of chemo in the hospital😢
Thank you my son has stage 3 testicular it's aweful and he is only 18 yes old and I'm so so scared tomorrow is his 2ed round of chemo it's over 24 centimeters but It is in his left lung, pushing against his heart everything I cannot get his spermbank
If you can’t, please don’t despair - sperm is often completely fine after chemo or very likely can go through IVF ICSI process for pregnancy if ever needs be!! Fairly straightforward process so best wishes for your son’s treatment!!
Whether you believe you can or believe you can't you are right
That's pretty fuckin profound. Unironically.
Thank you for this
Thank you for being here!!
Thank you for this video my son starts chemo in 2 weeks.
No worries, thank you for saying thank you!! Hope your son is okay. Feel free to reach out with any questions at all on my email or talk on Zoom my address is joe at simplifycancer dot com
No matter what anyone tells you. Take it from me. I had 3 rounds of BEP. It’s bloody hard. So prepare for it to be hard. The worst thing you can do is go into it thinking it’s going to be easy. It knocks you off your feet. It makes you feel terrible. But like a lot of things in life it has to be done. And your will get through it.
Thank you for sharing!
thank you i am starting BEP week after next as i have to have a lung function test and hearing test next week
Currently undergoing BEP and I feel like the cancer taking me quickly would feel better than how I’m feeling with BEP. But like you said, some things have to be done no matter how hard it is
I have to add some balance to this, I've had a lot of chemo. I've had 3xBEP ~17 years ago, and had 7 more cycles (5xEP then 2xTIP) a couple of years ago. It's fine. I dealt with it fine. Everybody's different. For anyone reading this - take it as it comes.
God bless men who help otger men with men's issues.
Thank you for your kind words and looking after yourself in a difficult time!!
I just had Orchiectomy two days ago and your videos have been a great support ❤️ Thank you for starting this channel ❤
Thank you for sharing, Saad, it's made my day!! Hope you're doing good
@@simplifycancer3150 Yes I'm doing better. Waiting for the follow up from my urologist. After that, we will see what the AFP and HCG levels are and then decide the chemo. Biopsy report will be here soon. Is there anyway I can email you or connect with you?

Thank you for sharing - and glad to hear you banked the sperm

Where is the comment... I have testicular cancer too
What are the chances of losing the scalp hair with a 9 week BEP?
Very likely - I lost mine around week 4. They do grow back with time - but I liked it so much that I am shaving my head still...
@Simplify Cancer What stage were you, and was it seminoma or non seminoma?
@@alvinromo Seminoma stage 2. What about you?
@Joe Bakhmoutski at first, I was seminoma stage 1. But after surveillance for over a year, they found some in the lymph nodes. So now I'm seminoma stage 2 like you. I'm staying positive because the odds are in my favor. I'm sure it's over 90 percent curable. Or even more than that. Thanks for this video. It encourages other men to know their odds and remain positive.
@@simplifycancer3150 were you cured with the first chemo procedure? Also, what chemo did you take, and how many weeks?
I tried to download the pdf , but it gives a "404" error message
Sorry about that!! Should hopefully be fixed now...
Thank you for the video. You mention to stay away from people and activities for about 9 weeks. Does that number differ if you have 1 cycle of BEP or 3 cycles of BEP ?
Thanks, Peter, great seeing you here! Hope you're doing alright. I'd say it's important to take things easy for the duration of the treatment whether it's one cycle or three. To be honest, I tried to minimise being out and about for a couple of weeks after treatment as well - but I wasn't feeling that great after three rounds
Thank you so much for making me feel ok. I am so grateful for this video. I have to remove my right testicle next week and this made me feel much better.

Started BEP yesterday, day 1 I felt fine. Woke up slightly nauseous today but so good so far! I got 3 cycles of this (9 weeks) to go.
Good on you!! Take it easy though - I stretched myself too far trying to do too much

Well said. I’m dealing with all of the above with my 2nd time dealing with seminoma.
Thanks, Corey!! Hope you're ok - 2nd time is way harder I think. Give me a shout if you ever want to chat!!
I appreciate this video. I had surgery 2 years ago and caught it early. I’ve relapsed and it’s in my abdomen now. Getting ready to start BEP in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your comment, Corey!! All the best for your BEP - in my experience, it really helps to manage your energy and do more in the morning when you are doing chemo and not push yourself too hard as the day drags on when it comes to visitors, being active etc. Although doing walks helped me a lot too!! Take care
When do you start my friend? Or have you started already?
My husband had the second testicle removed twenty years ago from non Hodgkins cancer and he could no longer have sex. He did get erection a couple of times but climax was extremely painful and then he no longer even got erections. .
That's tough, Sue! I only know about testicular cancer side of things and I understand that those who could not create testosterone from having both testicles removed could have sex from using a testosterone gel or regular injection.
@@simplifycancer3150 He had testosterone injections but still could not.

I didn't know sex was possible with both testicles removed. Thanks for sharing this info. A lot of young men can benefit from this.
No worries!! Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it - so glad to be able to help in some small way. Take care!
Can confirm, plumbing works.
I have lost mine too , due to cancer but also do have that worry and “urge” of checking my right testicle now at all times bc of fear of getting in other testicle are the chances slim to none? Im one week in recovery of my surgery but have not talked to doctor about that yet . Mine did not spread as of CT scan , I will bearly go to my Oncologist after urologist gave me the reference and read it was a Seminoma but it did not spread anywhere i believe it was confined to the testicle .
Sorry to hear you have to go through it!! The chances of getting it in the second testicle are very slim, but in your follow-ups they should be checking it anyway - which would be often enough for now, probably every three months? Hopefully it is confined to the testicle, but it's always good to keep following up with your urologist and ask them any questions that might be bothering you - it's what they are there for ;-))
@@simplifycancer3150 thanks for the quick response , I hope it is too but I will wait to see what the Oncologist tells me and follow through any treatment they suggest is best for me 😄🙏🏽
@@ul4975 No worries - they might offer you a prophylactic round of chemo! Take care, man
One question i forgot to ask lol , after the oriechtomy is it normal to feel the sac where the damaged testicle was removed from like hard or very stiff ? I feel my left side of the sac now is like a ball hard type . Urologist said it was normal but just wanted to know if this was experienced from your side as well?
@@ul4975 Yes, definitely, I was freaking out until urologist told me it's blood that collects into hard mass to dissolve later... No worries it goes away!!
I’m 21 and managed to catch it early. I guess I’m my case there’s a 50 percent chance it comes back without chemo and if I get one round of chemo it will reduce to 3 percent. This has helped me. Thank you.
Awesome, good on you!! Thank you for your kind words

Thank you for this video. I turned 17 last week the day after my orchietomy, CT scan shows it has spread to lymph nodes and lungs, the type is carcinoma so it's agressive and quick. My AFP is 89 and HCG 6000. The doctors start on monday with BEP. They say i have good prognosis. Thank you.
No worries, and hope the treatment goes well!! Please rest up and don't push yourself too hard. If you have any questions at all, I'm here!!

I recently lost my left testicle to cancer chemo treatment looks very likely too but it's all curable with whatever is there. I do have that worry that it could always come back in my one remaining testicle but the doctors have told with confidence that it is a very slim chance of it happening again I got some sperm stored away but I have been a little embarrassed to ask how would affect my sex life but watching this video has given me some reassurance so thank you for sharing.
No worries, man!! The chances of getting it again as you said are very slim, but I have spoken to guys who had it in both, and was relieved to learn that even in that unlikely case, you can take regular testosterone gel or injection so the sex is still pretty much the same!
@@simplifycancer3150 its all good to know.
I "had" a friend of over 30 years that lives 10 minutes away that has not visited me one time since my cancer journey. I was diagnosed a year ago with stage 4 lung cancer.
